  1. No, where it recognized a warning level event a week out, except in your backyard.
  2. GFS is better this winter, lol. Ride it to the end, haha!
  3. Seems that produce more than 7” just based on the size.
  4. Well, it's a squall line, not a blizzard, so.... You really are never satisfied. I hope it's just about winter weather, because I'd feel bad for you if this is how you go through life.
  5. All months last year really weren't bad. December was great, January was generally dry but by no means warm...or cold, and February was decent.
  6. That's the breaks though. We've had recent winters with multiple very wintry months. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns, I guess we're in one now.
  7. I feel like it's actually been quite a while since we had big totals like the two recent ones. After 2018 and 2019, 2020-2021 were rather benign with heavy rains.
  8. Still, it's a waiting game. No use getting worried about it when it's still 8-9 days out.
  9. But nailing down temperatures is also not something we should do, if that were the case we should have seen -15 or -20 a couple times this year and a few 100 degree temperatures over the summer. Will it be above average, probably, can we say it will be 70, right now...no.
  10. Let's calm down and let the very long range just be that. If we get to the weekend and it says that fine. We've seen tons of snowstorms in the long range that didn't happen (tomorrow for example). Pump the brakes.
  11. You can't compare anomalies in the winter to the summer. January's record high is 75, about 40 above normal, July, the record is half of that above average. I'd say 17 above average in February is more like 91-93 in summer, which while warm is not unusual, much like the 56 yesterday.
  12. That's exactly what Ron Smiley forecasted this morning. Also, it's been since January 1st, since we've been this high. That's unusual in the winter. I'd say we still have had a pretty impressive run of non extreme warm temperatures. Even 56, while warm, is too extreme in winter.
  13. Seems they don’t have a clue. Every other day it’s cold then warm.
  14. It's a little ribbing, it really shouldn't be a big deal.
  15. For you. It was 8" in that time for me, over 9" at the official site. Warning was justified. The either county received a warning, as it should have.
  16. Mother of God!!! 99% of us were happy with this storm, and considered the warning justified, most of us corroborate 8"+ at our locations. We know, it was the worst storm of your lifetime. Tim made a joke, it's not that critical. Please can we move on?
