    Not like we got less snow than forecast and the rest of the northeast was over performing. They underperformed and we weren’t invited to the show.

    Can’t underperform if you were never in it, lol. But maybe if someone got .7” of rain instead of .9” it could under perform. I’ll stay tuned to see if that’s the case.

    Yeah, I doubt that. Though I do seem to remember a day in April a few years ago where it was around 80 here and in the 40s in Erie.

    Last year seemed to overperform numerous times.

    A 9” storm is good in any season. We don’t live in the snow belt or the East Cost where 12”+ are common. Anything over 6” is always a victory here.

    I just can't get too bothered by it anymore. Of course I want tons of snow and cold for three months, but it's always been unrealistic. We'll have it again one day, just gotta wait.

    I didn't say it wasn't a bad month. Just saying it's definitely not a torch. There's too much over-exaggeration and hand wringing over things nobody can change.

    A torch is warm, if it is not warm it is not a torch. This month will not be a torch, no matter what anyone says. There will be a lot of rain, as a result of an unlucky pattern, not a torch.

    Literally no. If it were all 35 and rain this month, that would be below average temperatures. You could have 4 days where we got all our precipitation as rain and those days were say 50 degrees, then the rest of the days were below average, that's not a torch. February 2022 is nowhere near a torch.

    Not to me. This will not be a torch of a month. Low snow, likely, but not extremely warm.

    This pattern just started, lol. January certainly wasn't it. Only about two weeks into the pattern.

    No, where it recognized a warning level event a week out, except in your backyard.

    GFS is better this winter, lol. Ride it to the end, haha!

    Seems that produce more than 7” just based on the size.

    Well, it's a squall line, not a blizzard, so.... You really are never satisfied. I hope it's just about winter weather, because I'd feel bad for you if this is how you go through life.

    All months last year really weren't bad. December was great, January was generally dry but by no means warm...or cold, and February was decent.

    That's the breaks though. We've had recent winters with multiple very wintry months. Sometimes we get stuck in patterns, I guess we're in one now.
