  1. Just keeping trending south and we'll be on the good side. Let's hope it's the start of a trend.
  2. I mean, as long as everyone is safe, then okay. But the destruction at an inch of ice, is not something I'd want.
  3. I mean, if I don't have a power...yeah, but if I do I'm good.
  4. Not for western areas. The airport would be looking at nearly .5" of freezing rain, while eastern Allegheny Co. maybe nothing.
  5. What model is handling the current conditions the best as of now? Maybe that's the one we focus on.
  6. But again, if it's heavy that'd likely lead to more run off, correct? What are the temps at that time?
  7. Wouldn’t the WSW be because of the ice putting up to that level, beyond the snow.
  8. So, winter 13-14, 14-15, 17-18, 20-21 were crap? There were some bad and average, but nearly have were great. What do you want?
  9. Maybe it’s not our climate that’s the problem, but the models that don’t understand our climate?
  10. Guarantee there were periods decades ago that were the same. Climate goes through patterns. It’s a good thing none of us were around for the season that had 8.8”. You’d have had a coronary. Also, just the fact that our average seasonal snow increased with the new normals released last year, kind of proves you wrong.
  11. Oof, tough to read here already. Too heavy on negative. If something doesn’t look good just say it and move on. Please don’t continually complain about how terrible every storm is here, or how they bust, even when they didn’t. We know our climate, it is what it is.
  12. Looks much more south from earlier solutions, good trend in my opinion.
  13. Keep dropping south! Seems there's a lot of room to the north for corrections south.
  14. Saw the WSW was hoisted and Ron Smiley was saying he was expecting more snow than what was forecasted. He's usually rather conservative, but pretty good about totals, so that's interesting. Figured that meant the models went in our favor.
  15. I’d have a hard time believing we’d get 1-2” of ice, just doesn’t seem realistic honestly. Has that much ice ever really accumulated anywhere it was modeled? Rather we’d just get rain, which is still quite possible.
  16. Would it take into account that most of what we have now will be gone?
  17. Not when we weren't expecting anything. In Pittsburgh it's also hard to call 8-12" garden variety. That's a biggie here, lol.
