  1. Thanks to June, this summer is running below average. July and August are only slightly above average.
  2. I swear this morning they showed rain at like noon tomorrow.
  3. We're struggling today for sure with temps. Famous upper level low clouds not moving out as quickly as they were supposed to.
  4. The GFS advertising big heat? You don’t say, lol. Last week Ron Smiley took the bait and mentioned that the end of this week would see 90s. We need to be within a few days for it to really be possible. Although, with school starting soon it probably will touch 90 at least once, though the last few years have been nice.
  5. Yeah, had only one real regular thunderstorm. Good but if lightning and that’s about it. That’s fine with me. We dodged a bullet.
  6. Bit of deterioration on the storms from Ohio, that's good, but we'll see what happens later.
  7. Really hope it doesn't live up to the potential. I was surprised by the storm last night. Quite loud.
  8. I suppose one of the farmer's almanac's should make us happier for this winter, lol.
  9. I'm retracting this statement. Today wasn't that great. Just aside from any smoke, it's pretty cloudy. Actually, looks like it's going to rain soon.
  10. Looks like some nearly perfect days coming through mid week.
  11. There’s still next year. Maybe it’ll be better than last.
  12. No it doesn’t, but that’s the criteria for now. Even if it was a 95 threshold I still don’t think we’d qualify today. The heat index only 95 at one hourly update.
  13. Temps busted all across the east today. DC was supposed to be around 100, made it up to 94 or 95. Maybe models need fixed badly.
  14. Meanwhile, Ray Petlin said Elizabeth had a heat index of 109 and Pittsburgh recorded 105 today. There's no way that's correct. Where did he see that?
  15. Yeah, looks like dew points stayed lower than expected. That's ok though, less humid is always good.
  16. Sometimes you gotta reverse psychology the weather. At least that's what I'm calling it, lol.
  17. Did you you 7" or 8" during the Winter Storm Warning? You might get mad at the use of a heat advisory when the heat index might not reach the 100 degree threshold.
  18. That is interesting. If we make it today that's 90 degree days in the last three Julys, when we should average 12 in that span. Well below average.
  19. We can, but like I said a struggle for sure, it it's going to be an easy 90 here even when it looked almost certain. It's not our forte that's for sure. Yesterday if the clouds cleared earlier and same for today, probably wouldn't have been a question to getting to 90, but we can't buy clear skies on these type of days.
  20. I will say it is remarkable that in the all-time hottest month ever, in hundreds or thousands of years, based on 44 years of data, don't even ask a damn question about that stat, Pittsburgh still will struggle and maybe fail to reach 90 on a surefire day to do so. It is very impressive.
