I’m still here. Haha other than 70 and sunny there isn’t a lot of forecasting to do here.
Actually only supposed to be 52° on Tuesday! May actually have to run my furnace
have the leaves even changed color there yet ?

Kinda sad when there's a winter storm moving in and there's 2 hours + between posts. Even the TN Valley forum is getting more activity and they won't see as much snow.

So is he saying there will be 6 snows of exactly 1" ? Or 6 snows of 1" or more ? If he meant 1" or more then I guess 6 snows wouldn't be bad if each of those 6 averaged a substantial amount of snow.

Technically your area is in the Equal Chances for precip. So maybe it won't be dry.

NWS says 2" for Fort Wayne. Seems a little conservative doesn't it ?

I'd probably start getting excited if I were in Ohio. Not a done deal but generally honing in on an outcome.
I would say Eastern Indiana as well is in a good spot

Biden is essentially the president at this point. Who cares if Trump is golfing or whatever ? Biden is our leader now. From now on everything bad that happens i will hold Biden accountable.

As expected, fatmans guidelines are not being followed.
.That's great news. Hopefully people spending money will help stimulate the economy.

Toronto going into a lockdown Mon @12:00am. All gyms, fitness centers, restaurants, bars, hair salons, recreational centers, casinos, convention centers and I believe shopping malls are all closing. Only essential stores like grocery stores and department stores will remain open. All restaurants will be offering curb-side pick up or delivery only, no dine-in. We been averaging >1000 cases a day for a few weeks now. When compared to you guys its nothing obviously but 85% of these 1000+ are in the Toronto area. Hopefully other American cities follow suite.
When are they reopening ?

Yeah this isn't like summer BBQ. Most everyone celebrates Thanksgiving with a big get together and people are refusing to change that.
This is my uncle's last Thanksgiving as he doesn't have much longer to live. His dying wish is for all of the family to get together for one last Thanksgiving. What should we tell him ?

I called out the election celebrations as they were happening last Saturday. They were not productive, and people could've chosen to celebrate at home. Yes, it was nice that most people appeared to be wearing masks, but there were still large crowds of people that were more or less staying in the same spot (not marching).
That being said, it is simply playing political games to blame the current increase on those celebrations. The incubation period of the virus is 2 days at minimum, and many times it's more like 4 or 5 days if not longer. By the time someone gets tested and gets the result, you are frequently talking 10-14 days after exposure (maybe even longer). We will continue to see increasing cases, and likely some stemming from the celebrations, but as has been mentioned, we are in continued exponential growth anyhow.
I guess most of the current increase is from trick or treaters on Halloween ?

I go to CNN's web page and the front page is all about the election. Someone needs to remind them that there's a virus out there.

My thing is since we know we have a vaccine why not just lockdown until it becomes widely available in a couple of months
People will not follow lockdown orders around the holidays.

I'm tired of it too. Imagine the chaos, the massive number of illnesses and deaths, if everyone ignored the science like these guys.
I dont ignore science. I always wear a mask. I just want to know why cases are increasing. The only logical explanation is that less people are wearing masks right ? Because its literally impossible for cases to increase that much if more people are wearing masks.

It is arguable how much benefit there will be from 1 week of warm weather. I'm honestly not counting on anything but it would be nice.
Im not even sure weather is even a factor. Didnt they say cases would decline dramatically as we got into summer and the opposite happened ?

odd isn't it, mask usage up, positive case #s up..
Makes no sense. And it cant be because more people are staying indoors because the weather has been so nice and warm ! Everyone has been outside enjoying the nice weather ! So why are cases going up if more people are wearing masks ?

I mean the Euro shows like 4" for Fort Wayne. Aren't you close to there ? To me anything more than 3" is significant.
