  1. Certainly a bit breezier than desired for today but I thought it was pleasantly nice otherwise. Was a great day to just sit out and hang out at the park and make sure no buttheads broke park protocols. A somewhat surprising amount of sun and almost made it to 70.
  2. Haha yeah, I’m mostly a dark beer kinda guy but the sours have been intriguing lately...places doing some crazy shizz with their sours now
  3. I’m trying to cut back significantly lol. Body just can’t keep up. But I have a beer pick up tomorrow at crooked crab brewery in Odenton. Double cherry pie. Supposedly brewed with cherries, vanilla, graham crackers and lactose. 7% so it’s on the imperial sour side of things
  4. Yeah the area I work at is used by multiple Rec councils and high/‘middle schools etc. I don’t know who exactly made the decision but it’s been made. Makes my job super easy but yes sad for the kids
  5. Yeah unfortunately phase 2 isn’t likely around these parts until at least July at the earliest
  6. Probably but was just confirmed that for the park I work at. I mean I figured It would be a while still but we were still lining the sports fields up until the weekend just in case things started sooner than later
  7. It was a beautiful sun rise the morning. Yes believe it or not this is a sunrise not a sunset lol
  8. Been told that all Baltimore county organized recreation is cancelled thru the end ofJune. So if you were hoping the kiddos sports were gonna start, don’t count on it
  9. Works for me. The park I work at went back to normal staffing procedures so I’m actually currently working. Might not be ideal for most (70s and sun) but it’s a perfect day for a run and to just hang out and not sweat or freeze your balls off
  10. JustIn Berk posted this evening an update basically saying some of the modeling shows less rain but he doesn’t like to make “abrupt” changes to the forecast. I guess he hasn’t been following much the last 48 hours
  11. Nice. Unfortunately I haven’t had a good Manhattan or old fashioned since I went to a bar and got one, probably in January or so
  12. Yeah that’s not my style but their fall/winter beers are pretty good
  13. Wow, pretty much no rain in Baltimore until Thursday afternoon on the GFS lol.
  14. Head down this week, screw it
  15. It’s good. I had it at the brass tap in Baltimore probably last November
  16. I had it this past season. They definitely still make it.
  17. 10.5 abv. It really is like a dark barley wine. I don’t taste a lot of nut or typical brown ale flavors. Pretty boozey
  18. Thanks. She’s in her 50s and otherwise healthy as far as I know. So hopefully she’ll be alright. So far so good. She can go back to her living home but they need to disinfect and properly be able to quarantine her first
  19. On another note, my aunt has tested positive for Covid. She’s apparently doing ok and has been at GBMC. She is mentally challenged and lives in an assisted living home.
  20. Drinking the Deez Nutz imperial nut brown ale I picked up from eastern shore brewery in st michaels Thursday. Not bad but tastes more like a dark barleywine than a brown ale. Needs a little more sweetness
  21. I believe Mersky gave me the weenie icon for posting that good rains would be tough to come by up hereNot an ideal May week but I’ll take it over 3-4 days of showery weather
  22. Definitely beautiful today. Had to go check on the park today, it was crowded but actually not as bad as I anticipated. Highlight of the day was definitely cruising on 695 with the Jeep top off
  23. NAM doesn’t really have any rain for up here thru the end of the run. Kinda thinking the doom and gloom forecasts for next week will be wrong for most of us, sure some unlucky folks will get caught under something and probably be miserable for a couple days but I’m thinking generally just dreary days up here and not all that much in the rain bucket
  24. Canadian is probably best case scenario if you don’t want a lot of rain. A lot more progressive and moves things out fast
