  1. Yeah, all that crap about IFS was just that. A friend has plowed with two Chevy 2500s both to over 100K doing nearly 50 residential driveway using a Fischer 9 foot V plow. Never had to touch front ends on either. Personally I've had the best luck with my 2014 Ram Power Wagon. Over 200k with only general maintenance. And with the electric lockers, it's the best winter weenie vehicle for those like me that love driving during winter storms
  2. Yes it has! At least for now... We've installed two in the last month and I had both within 7 days of ordering.
  3. Personally I agree, business wise... take it all down! It's great for generator install requests!
  4. That's really not good. Best approach at this point is get that water pump breaker turned off! Then assess the damage
  5. I still have 60npercent cover, but it surely won't make it til Thursday. And the ground sure isn't frozen. We must have a different plow operator this year, he gave our lawn quite a scalping
  6. I agree. A rare blizzard would be great, but if the ground is white I'd be plenty happy
  7. I was just wondering the same thing. It's interesting looking at some of the options runs. They look like they want to spawn a secondary offshore, but then it ends up in upstate NY
  8. True but I don't think it really makes a huge difference in seasonal totals most years. Although I have always believed that the old method was more indicative of what we really see on the ground. I think this method of measuring on a snowboard every few hours is kind of fake if you ask me.
  9. Exactly. Me, having the blizzard of '78 as the experience that started my interest in weather... and then living through the next decade really does color my opinion. Certainly more so than someone who's say 30 years old
  10. I tried explaining the last year. I THINK a lot of the complaining here is from younger people who didn't have to deal with most of the 80s and first couple years in the 90s. Some have gotten very spoiled
  11. 11 inches here in Westfield so far for the season. Doing pretty well here, considering for my area I never expect any real snow til the new years time frame.
  12. The good 'ol "rain changing to snow" If I had a couple bucks for every time I heard that over the years... fraud
  13. LOL I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm still waiting for that model run in the next day or two that tries to suck everyone back in...
  14. Snowing decent here again after a lull. Took a ride up to Blandford center. Man, what a winter wonderland! Between Sunday and today it looks like there's a foot and a half other. I wish I could post pics...but can never get it to work!
  15. I'm about to head out and take a drive up to Blandford and back through Granville
  16. I'll tell you in some of these events, there's something about that ridge just east of town. Seen it many times where its the dividing line of have and have not. There was a storm a couple years back where we had plowable 5 inches in town and down in Bloomfield by the Hartford there was nothing
  17. Looking forward to an update. For some reason my cam at the office isn't working
