  1. Yup. I mentioned it what feels like days ago now that this looks a little different than the same old setup we've had. We'll see
  2. Absolutely pouring cats and kittens here in Simsbury
  3. Just a simple case of Shit The Bed then...
  4. That would be a fine thing... it's only how many days out? And the 23rd looks so painfully close to something better if we had a little more help from Canada
  5. Any chance it could be a sort of heat island effect, picking up heat from it's surrounding surfaces but not reflecting the true temp of the area?
  6. Lack of cold/winter this year doesn't have the sting it usually would for me exactly because of what you mentioned. The bills are already nearly twice as much as our highest in the last 5 years. We're also still struggling to get caught back up after covid and something that happened 6 months before the shutdown... every little bit helps this year! It's amazing how hard it is to get caught back up once you're behind...
  7. Funny, earlier he was more interested in pussy willows blooming LOL. fwiw is the key here
  8. I was thinking exactly the same thing. We haven't even been able to get much in the way of fantasy land snowstorms out of any models save for maybe one run then it would totally change or disappear. My expectations are low but if it's still there late weekend I'll feel much more enthused.
  9. Would one of them be the weenie wearing shades talking earlier about PUSSY willows blooming...
  10. Thanks for reminding me about this! I've been meaning to watch. Can't wait for next year, we're planning a trip to Thailand November '24. Torch and the Pope would love it there... High heat and dews pretty much all the time
  11. That will happen here in April... February now identifies as April
  12. Lots of great deals starting to show up on used sleds. I think some guys are just done.. I'm happy about that, because we're hoping to get a couple for next season
  13. Same here. I've never spent close to as many hours (days) in my plow truck as I did with that storm. How much did you end up with?
  14. It is. Elevated fire risk warnings up for my area
  15. I remember some years back a few towns in this area removed plow equipment near the end of February and ended up caught with their pants down. It's just foolish if you're in the business to uninstall before April 1st
  16. If it's not a firearm... it'll be something else. The focus of these issues keeps getting shifted to a certain single political movement. All it does is time and time again take the focus off what's really going on with mental health in this country. It has been very interesting listening to a couple friends who are counselors talk about what is happening and it's really a shame. They both blame it squarely on a mix of social media, and lack of parenting... or lax parenting also lack of discipline compared to the past. I've had an interesting conversation with a friend in another country asking about "furries" in school. He thought it was a joke, and was dumbfounded to find out it's real...
  17. We thought about that in the past. My reason for never doing it is that I always grease the sleds after each trip and like to wash, inspect etc. The amount of miles we would put on at times I just didn't feel comfortable ignoring them after a trip.
  18. LOL I was just joking about how there are actually people who use Twitter for weather forecasts
  19. I was thinking exactly the same thing! And Twitter for weather forecast info...comon man!
  20. Thats laughable. If they really did that, it's probably one of the stupidest things I've heard lately. Plows are easy to install...Sanders not so much
  21. By folks, do you mean a certain set of letters that end in Tolland?
