  1. I don't go 20 in the parking lot!
  2. That's crazy! Never heard of speed regulated rentals. Last time I rented it was at Norther Outdoors in Maine. Maybe things have changed? I know there are no more rentals in VT
  3. Right now that western ridge looks better to me, no?
  4. Would be nice to send this season out with a bang, bang this season being 5 to 10 lol. I really don't think we're off the hook for snow in March tho, just a hunch
  5. I need to weenie this pic, but for another reason! Drool
  6. Yes. There wasn't Hadley cell talk in the 80s, but I sure remember discussions on fast flow etc. causing storms to be shunted offshore at times, in between the cutters. Everything goes in cycles
  7. I can't wait to get back in the sport but with my family's budget I'm going to be buying a couple of $2,000 revs from back in 2005! I guess I know what I'll be doing with most of the check from Elon
  8. Man! If you have not ridden a modern snowmobile when you try one you'll think you're having fun with a totally different sport! Apples and oranges is a far insufficient description of how modern snowmobiles perform.. especially if you ride skidoo. Back in 2002 I had a chance to ride the Prototype Ski-Doo REV at a dealer in Lyndonville vermont. We put a deposit down that afternoon for the following year as soon as we got back to the showroom. Ride like butter!
  9. There's nothing like a game of golf after a hard days work... as a secondary way to piss you off! That's why I gave it up lol
  10. Sustained cold, and some damn cold mornings for sure. This is the first year I've noticed that I have to prepare myself for the cold even more... must be getting old LOL
  11. Looks like even the Cape scrape is off the table this A.M. 10 degrees here in Westfield. And now we've gone from kicking the can to kicking frozen dog crap
  12. Just enough in my areas to have the heavy equipment scrape side roads all day... and warm the cab. One thing I HATE is driving with a jacket on. High of 28 in Westfield today, felt like 48!
  13. Well, some guys are just fun to lol joking... sort of. I've been in a weird mood today. I feel like after having to work outside in the sun today and feeling that feeling that Nape Tip fee he's s always mentions this time of year, my brain has decided that it's time to F this winter and head into spring. Reset for next season
  14. Agreed on this end also. I understand where he's coming from and right now that certainly seems to be what's happening. However looking back there's nothing saying that this isn't exactly what happened before. Many would argue that cc is also what caused our extremely snowy years of the past couple decades. It's all a big fluid dynamics crapshoot in the end
  15. Well I usually would not bring up a Tip vehicle warmth observation, but it's highly evident today. Driving around in the truck for work and there is no need for a jacket at all, had to pull over and take it off. Heat is turned down below 50%. Sun angle?
  16. Must've been April '82. I don't remember March '84. IIRC my area missed it. I'll have to look it up. Edit, I remember 1982 now that was the storm where it had been very warm a couple weeks beforehand. I wonder if the storm in 1984 is the one where they were convinced it was going to be shunted off it was going to be shunted out to sea? I really wish I could find my old weather notes!
  17. What was it 1983 or 82?? we had the surprise storm down in SNE. I remember staying up way past my bedtime to watch the 11:00 p.m. news weather reports. I still remember Hilton Kaderly showing the map with a high pressure north of New England saying it was the Rock of Gibraltar and the storm would go out to sea, woke up early the next morning to a white out. And that was the last good one for several years
  18. Most likely, and happening during a Sox home game no less
  19. Well exactly. Just the same old suspects with high hopes that many hours out
  20. And it's already severely diminished at 6Z vs 18Z yesterday
