  1. Actually when you're looking at patterns that far out, it's not a bad look... OP run, you know the drill... right? What do the ensembles say?
  2. I was more responding to a couple random comments from the last 24 hours, but I totally understand. It just seems some seem to think that with the current CC situation that this is the new norm. Personally, I don't agree... however only time will tell what our future patterns morph into. I grew up in the same era, I'm 55 now. I've acted like a cranky 70 YO since I was 18 so
  3. I'd love to have a poll, or chart of everyone's age that participates in the forum discussion here. I'm pretty sure it would tell us a lot about what people expect regarding snowy VS non snowy winters. Sure CC likely has some effect, but so do average cycles. The "it's never going to be like it was" is SO overplayed... likely by youngsters
  4. Kind of like here in Westfield with the secondary and tertiary roads. It's not unwritten however, they tell people flat out if you want to help keep your taxes down we maintain the side roads like it's the 70s. Love it!
  5. Sure do! My first sled was a 1976 MotoSki Nuvik. It had .975 inches of rear suspension travel... well close, but it sure felt like it. I still feel it
  6. And, back to more of a cutter on the 6z GFS. The yo yo continues
  7. Not even a couple flurries here EDIT: It started snowing lightly right after I wrote that. A coating here now...
  8. That's what's important at the moment, but I haven't actually had time to look myself
  9. He's just doing his typical... acting like a linguine, sounding like a clam
  10. I get that some are irritated, but we need to roll with it like always. We have NO idea what is really going to happen and that's part of the fun. Look at what models showed a few days back huge blocking etc. They recalculated like a crappy Garmin GPS and will again. Into what... stay tuned LOL. Wasn't it somewhere around 2015 where we didn't have any sign of winter until near mid January and then we were off to the races
  11. Agreed 100 percent. And while we have it where we have it, lets enjoy the wintry appeal that we have in many of our viewing areas right now. There's been more white ground here so far than like the last 8 years
  12. It could be, but those living by the operationals and quoting output two weeks out are just asking for disappointment one way or the other. Of course there's the one on here who only shows up to twist the knife about the warmth...
  13. Before this place became the new EFFyouweather forums, you (and a couple others) would have been 5 posted or more. WTF happened to that anyway??
  14. Then I guess I will Maybe not "great" but far better than any recently. I never expect December to produce, so that's a big plus... for me. 9 degrees this a.m. I didn't clear the driveway either... too lazy after a 2 a.m. new years eve
  15. I have that to go along with my tree. The Evergleam company called it the Sata-Lite. I'm not a huge fan of the color wheel but keep it for the Vintage aspect. What looks amazing is shooting an LED spotlight up through the base of the tree along the center of the trunk. It reflects through the aluminum and it almost looks like snowfall on the ceiling
  16. I always forget about the real tree thing. I've been running vintage artificial trees for years. You should look into one of the early 60s aluminum trees, it makes the living room look like an ice storm has passed through
  17. They probably feel like they have to account for the drunk idiots tonight... like they'd even notice an advisory
  18. Really? Damn, my tree stays up half of January. Actually if I had my way it would stay up until March 1st
  19. I mean I'm counting my blessings. Thankfully it's just the weather, and we're not reliving the music, fashion and Architectural styles of the time
  20. Or get better and cycle up and down like a roller coaster like it has been forever. Some of us keep bringing this up, but some of us had to live through the 80s. Same crap different decade
  21. We've been here before, but it's been several decades
