  1. Clouds and raw as f**k in Simsbury, 29 degrees. Great morning for an outdoor service call
  2. I did have the two towns transposed in my head. 29 in E.W. and 31 in Simsbury.. well, West Simsbury really
  3. I'll have to try to dig out my old notes wherever the hell they are lol. If I'm remembering correctly East Windsor had a hair more than Simsbury although maybe I'm of the information backwards. I know the Simsbury measurement is correct
  4. It could be the first snow gun mounted to the roof of a NYC police cruiser
  5. So much for jogging in shorts Been the trend all season to lean cold
  6. Great storm, but I don't buy some of those accumulations for a second. We had 31 in Simsbury, and 34 in East Windsor where I was living at the time. I've heard others say the same.
  7. An amazing storm. It was a bear to plow my residential driveways, but I didn't care. Similar accumulation to '78 in my area, but unfortunately it didn't shut the state down for a week
  8. What is the fascination with this guy?? Useless as tits on a bull
  9. If we had more than paltry precip it would have been pretty terrible here. Still 30.5 degrees
  10. Super icy secondary roads from Westfield all the way down to Simsbury this A.M. I can't even park in my normal spot at work, my truck tried to slide into the van in the next spot
  11. Yikes, may you have many more years of health! I didn't see where this sub discussion started, but Tips point on sugar is spot on. Some is genetics, but a LOT is up to us. It's funny how it works sometimes. I have lots of longevity in my family and look young for my age... but both rotators repaired, a pinched nerve in my neck that'll need attention soon and likely stenosis starting in my lower back. It's always something!
  12. Well... We've been waiting for a possible upcoming pattern to produce, that would be interesting. Obviously details are a long way off
  13. Haven't looked yet... but you must be feeling better
  14. From my barely trained eye it seems at least the GFS is yo-yoing on that for the weekend, for your area
  15. Well, if... IF (yes, I know) it was simply to remove him and install the duly elected people i have NO problem with it. Now, moving forward, and some of those statements
  16. GFS is looking a little colder again for the weekend, and for tonight in NNE. Still has activity in the longer range... stay tuned
  17. We'll see, there's a ways to go. If this is still showing as something decent on models as we get closer but the airmass is crap, you KNOW what phrase will be dug out by the weenies
  18. Hey, maybe it'll help us keep our pack going a little longer since the warm up is being muted
  19. For what it's worth, some flakes starting to fly in Simsbury
  20. The way people drive in this area, almost guaranteed 100%!
  21. Well 80 percent of the "storms" are usually fantasy land crap anyway. Sure, fun to look at, but many times nothing. There ARE storm chances if you look at the latest GFS. Not in the bullseye, who cares at this time frame. To me it's worse in the winters where there's all kinds of model candy that never happens
  22. With the adjustments we've been seeing all season, hopefully it's not congrats NJ by Thursday
