IIRC..and I probably don't, weren't there several systems that looked to be rain days out but the -AO helped keep just enough cold air in place? I need to find my old snowplowing logbook, its all in there
Just got back to the shop in Simsbury, 36.8° and sloppy gloppy snow mixing in the last 30 minutes. Going to take the long way home to Westfield through Granville hoping to see more changeover
Would you look at that lol! Doesn't that kind of fit with what Tip and others were talking about yesterday that some banding and dynamics could be somewhat more west than shown on the clowns? Be interesting to watch for sure. So not ready for snow at work...too many generators on backorder
Different world in Simsbury vs Westfield right now. 37 here with barely a mangled flake compared to a few miles north. It was snowing quite well in Granville
That December '92 storm was one I'll never forget. I thought I was dreaming! We couldn't even get our Christmas tree from our normal source because it closed down the tree farm in Riverton CT because of the depth and significant drifting.
We had that issue about a week and a half ago. We had just planted a couple of mimosa trees and had a slight frost down here in Westfield. They seem to be holding on with just a couple of burnt tips.
Snow picking up now in Simsbury. We went from almost nothing, to nearly moderate within 15 minutes. Ground is white but nothing sticking to the pavement yet 32°
Yes exactly, hence the "nearly" And I don't mean to say it's nothing but with doctors I work for that I have spoken with the 3 of them believe there is an excessive amount of hype.
Yes and in my opinion, this is being hyped to death. No one seems to care, or want to hear/educate themselves that the flu mortality is nearly the same.
