  1. Really cool experience to be way up there. You’ll definitely enjoy it!
  2. I’ve been to Anchorage for work (in April - got almost 10” of snow one day), so I guess that counts.
  3. I’d be complaining about that little streak of subsidence over 95.
  4. Our AC hasn’t stopped running.
  5. Haha. It looks to be part of a tunnel, and there a few others in the backyard. I did a little research, and it looks like it could be chipmunks. We have seen a ton more of them this year than ever before, so it would only make sense. I just need my dog to take care of them for me (without digging up the lawn)!
  6. Anyone know what kind of vermin would make holes in the lawn like this? I saw a few earlier in the year, and now a couple more have popped up.
  7. You have provided a compelling argument. I concede to the person who does not know it all.
  8. You can’t equate the penalties and/or suspensions given diring the time Dale Hunter was spearing and cross-checking his opponents with the way the game is officiated today. That’s foolish...to put it lightly. As for the hit on Umberger, if it was deemed a legal hit in open ice, then I do t see how you can use that as an example either. Do you feel like Wilson is being victimized or something?
  9. I’m actually not that big into coffee stouts because I find that too many of them are overdone. With the right restraint and balanced by other flavors/aromas, they can be very good, but too many breweries can’t find that balance.
  10. Begone with you! One of the most disgusting beers I’ve ever had was a coffee IPA. Some things should just never be attempted. Combining coffee and IPA is one of them.
  11. I know...and you confirmed that the thread is dumb.
  12. Sure, but it's not hot. Give me all the east coast ridges and above-normal temps we can handle right now. The rubber band will eventually snap back, as it always does. Much rather have warm right now than cold.
  13. But of course some will complain that it’s “too hot.”
  14. ^ Impressive When I was driving over 14th Street Bridge when home from work yesterday, the Potomac couldn’t have been more than 6” from topping the walls along the DC bank of the river on the south side of the bridge. I was really surprised. I wonder if it’ll top the wall once max flood stage is reached.
  15. Burke Lake is a great little par-3. Really well kept and forces you to use pretty much every iron in the bag. But yeah...must be nerve-wracking standing over the ball thinking you might take a divot and end up covered with mud.
  16. Wow. Was able to cut out of work a few hours early to enjoy an absolutely phenomenal early-fall day.

  18. <VR>We will only see frost when there’s an anomalous upper-level setup, and because of AGW we’re going to see a lot of those anomalies in the future.</VR>
  19. Ahh...I see. I just figured it was a play on words, but maybe I’m giving VR too much credit.
