  1. Please not Hillary again, I am tired of 3rd-6th party voting
  2. If wishing this storm way west is wrong, I don't want to be right. It's too bad there is a limit how far west it can come.
  3. There will be a shot at a landfall or scrape jmo. I've been looking at some analogs and general UA and it seems with a partial capture, a bend NNE is on the table. Of course that's an eternity away, where exactly that occurs and Dorian's condition at the time. A west track would include life partially over land, also over cooler waters later on. a track along the GS would carry a stronger system but the storm would probably not be able to make that latitude.
  4. That makes absolutely no sense, but you are consistent anyway.
  5. Gloria wasn't a bust, but definitely over hyped. Had some 80 mph gusts and many trees through homes.
  6. The weather..:D Meanwhile not to worry folks, the 12z NAM has a great handle on the situation.
  7. Carrying on the theme from the main thread...
  8. 1996 Edouard's fishing expedition comes to mind. I remember moving to college the day before, the first thing I did was setup telnet 14.4 baud into PSC wx and track that pos all night.
  9. It's already a halficane by the time it reaches 40N. If you believe the gfs. Flooding would be impressive anyway.
  10. Dorian misses the entire SE US coast by a hair, and is later captured/catapulted into SNE
  11. We'll definitely need to see a more stout s/w so as to pump heights to the NE. Otherwise it'd confined to far SE areas, if at all.
  12. 18z gfs...maybe ack would see 40-60 mph, but (as shown) a transitioning extratropical that makes landfall along the Carolinas won't have much wind on the NW side away from the coast. Just a boat load of rain.
  13. Yeah but but the 18z Mongolian has it wsw into Florida
  14. Where is the moderation in the main thread, when it's really needed? :/
