  1. Cold, wintry end to January, maybe a storm 1/27 or so but most likely slim pickings until then.
  2. the good news is that arctic cold and very dry conditions settle in to finish January, before we torch up February. your slush (if any) pack should be frozen in place
  3. We'll see some very nice days at some point this month, and there's nothing wrong with cold crisp nights and dry, sunny days. Especially given the increasing sun.
  4. If a meaningful snowstorm is off the table, just plow the warm front to Laconia and give me 50's.
  5. wow, that weekend threat fell apart in no time...may not even need a shovel
  6. Congrats NNE. hopefully for most it's all snow, no mixing or anything.
  7. Looks like a pedestrian 4-8 event for the weekend
  8. Yeah, a few cold weeks then we're out of the woods.
  9. If that, looks like a few mild ups in there too.
  10. Mt. Snow looks like mid-April conditions
  11. NNE still looks wintry for next few weeks. That's good
  12. This is the ultimate torch...up to 63.2 at 11:20. Wow

  14. The best winter ever..reminds me of early November, 1.8 pwats and that taste of summer 130 PM Update... * Record High Temps Smashed Today * Strong Winds Across central and eastern New England Incredible warmth early this afternoon for mid January standards. Temperatures were between 65 and 70 degrees across many locations with partial sunshine. Record highs have already been smashed across the region and a few locations may flirt with all time January record highs. A modest southwest LLJ has been mixing down across the region, given the current warmth in the boundary layer. Therefore, a Wind Advisory has been posted for central and eastern MA/RI into Sunday afternoon. While the winds will diminish some this evening, they will pick backup up toward daybreak with a potent southwest 90 knot LLJ. Therefore, the Wind Advisory has also been issued western MA/northern CT overnight into Sunday for that second pulse, which will discuss more later this afternoon.
  15. Yeah, that 113F would be inviting
