yeah they normally love to low ball storms. Maybe its the fact we havent had to many before this year and they just dont want people on the roads. I know going into work during the last snow storm at 1pm roads were so empty even tho most of the high ways had very little slush

maybe for you but my high for thursday is 25 and depending on a few things temps could drop throughout the storm. Good luck

with temps being so cold lately why do you feel that way? salt and chemicals still on the roadways? not heavy enough to lay on roads?

Im under a very dark blue band of snow atm but nothing is falling. Temp went from 28 to 25 maybe its just cooling the atmosphere and its too dry.

Not sure how true it is but in the last week. I heard a former meteorologist say that the euro I has actually gotten worse with forecasting because they took some of the power away from the main model run and gave it to the essembls. Ever since then it hasn't been as accurate they did this in 2016. Not sure if that's true

No sun today really at all so far at 28 kinda of surprised me with snow pack and cloud cover a weak wind can bring up so much warm air

a couple hours ago saw some one talk about the cold air energy getting close to merging with this storm vs what the runs had just earlier today. Does it still look the polar energy is getting closer is thats whats causing better model runs?

down to 10 now at 2:44 temps have more a less stabilized. Temp has gone down slower then the last few hours.

this happens in my area very often. then you watch the weather news and they give you a low thats a few degrees higher then what you got.

Snow during the morning will give way to lingering snow showers during the early afternoon. Temps nearly steady in the low to mid 20's. Winds N at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 80%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches. So my forecast for friday they only have snow in the morning giving way to snow showers in the early afternoon. still going for a 1-3 inch ball park but temps either are an error or this storm brings its own cold and with the clouds for thursday it just cant get up to the 30s

Not sure where the radar that is out is located but since 6am the lightest is snow ever maybe .10 since only cause it's still so cold. Forecast temp today was 34 surprised me. Temp ATM 27

If it were to fill back in what time would it be? on model runs I saw non dry slotting at this time I heard between 4-7 would be the best time to pick up amounts.

sadly no back filling at all back edge got here way faster then many thought.

I know but so many times it doesnt do what it should imo. it just dry slots us to death and we go from a promising over performing storm. to the local mets pounding chests saying they were right. id say its 50 50 on times it back fills precip vs it doesnt.
