Nice pics. I broke my leg there 25 years ago last week. Spiral fracture of the tib/fib. Same injury Alex Smith is recovering from right now. Havent been on skis since.

I am guessing for privacy in the pool. As a side note have any of you ever had Trader Joe's beer? I just finished off a 2 pinter of their Blonde Ale and that is some good shit. Goes well with my fireplace and the snow falling.

522 just NW of Lake Holiday. It is gorgeous out here. And it is just ripping dime sized dendrites right now.

2:00 update. .3 inches. Getting pummeled right now. Moderate band coming through and adding to totals quickly. Moderate snow 31 degrees.

It is elevation. I am in the mountains NW of town. Probably have a few hundred feet on you in the Valley.

Dumping pretty good now. I would guess 1/4 mile visibility. Everything has caved even the edges of the road. The next 6 hours should be great.

Ground and cars are covered now. Took 2 hours of decent rates to overcome the warm surfaces. But we are accumulating now.

Roofs starting cave around my hood. Arborvitaes snow covered. Need better rates!!!!

It is definitely rate dependent. As the rates have increased mulch and my snow board have started to cave. Snow 31 degrees.

Sticking to trees and elevated surfaces but melting on my snow board at ground level. Interesting.

Had a bit of a lull here. Back to light snow now and the radar looks real nice to the west. Game time!

This is the 17th day with snow falling here since January 9th. I am already above climo and look to get another 4-6 with this one. Really a solid winter west of the Blue Ridge this year.

Slept right through first flakes here. Cant remember the last time I did that. Light snow 33 degrees.

RGEM is a shellacking. No doubt about it. Interesting cutoff just to the SW of Winchester.....Poor EastCoast. The dude just cant win.

I'm driving to tavistock farms for this event If you dont get hit you can literally drive 8 miles west and be on top of the Blue Ridge where they will be getting hit hard. I am 41 degrees right now with a 32 Dew. Where is the cold air?

They look almost identical. Even the snow map looks almost the same. I think we have some agreement on what is going to happen at this point.

This is pretty bullish from NWS. 90% chance of 3 inches or more in the 81 corridor.

Wow. Surprised how juiced up the Euro is. I was actually expecting it to take a step back as far as QPF goes. Looks great for my area.

GFS is right in line with the RGEM and NAM's. 4-6 for the burbs. And snow into the cities for a bit as well.

Hmmm. I dont know what you are seeing. Nobody should have come into this expecting 10 inches. The models have consistently shown 4-6 for the NW burbs for the past 2 days? And the precip shield has gotten larger as well. All of PA is in snow now.
