Thanks, got it. I think when I was younger 4 inches was enough for a winter storm warning at least inside the Beltway, but maybe I am not remembering correctly.

How do we get near blizzard conditions without a winter storm warning? Not enough total snow fall expected? If we get 5 inches doesn’t that meet the criteria? No one will take near blizzard conditions seriously with an advisory.

Over by 5am Sunday even in the highest elevations of WV WB 18Z HRRR.

If there is a period of time that we have 40 mph gusts, snow, blowing snow and wind chills near 0, I will give January and March an A. February a D. Winter overall gets a B ending on a high note.
