    Agreed, on my train ride in was looking at the GFS global and was thinking what a train wreck! The GEFS took me off the cliff, but the pattern has about two weeks to deliver for most of us. We are out of time for any more head fakes. Will try to glance at 12Z at lunch, have a great day everyone!

    WB GEFS is different than the global but still not very impressive through Day 10.

    6Z GFS is horrible. After a light snow on Monday, winter is over.

    WB 6Z GFS for early Monday.

    Split the difference between the WB 0Z EPS and the control and we get a nice hit on Day 5.

    WB 18Z EPS…850s good, surface little warm but maybe ok if precipitation heavy enough.

    Let’s see if the percentages hold/ improve as we go through this week. Then the confidence level will increase. We all get too excited over a couple of good runs. Cautiously optimistic.

    Just trying to keep it real….I know, lot of head fakes this year! Actually busy day at work and it was a little hard to follow the thread. Should say Wave one maps.

    WB 12Z globals next 5 days. Nothing to get excited about yet.

    I hope we are all not disappointed by the 24th, cautiously optimistic for at least a covering of snow. With a little luck we could get a 6 plus storm out of this pattern.

    WB 6Z GEFS….nice 24 hour trends in snow mean. Hopefully, it continues to increase as we go through this work week, no time left for another head fake. All chips in for the final furlong of winter!

    WB 0Z EPS compared to yesterday.

    Interesting run on EURO for Wave 2 early next week. Very close to a big hit.

    WB 18Z EPS and Control much better than GEFS.

    Abysmal WB 18Z GEFS for the next 10 days. Most hyped pattern change ever for DMV. Congratulations to Northern PA Northwards.

    Take the GEFS longitude and intensity and the GEPS latitude and we have a winner for wave 1. (WB 12Z).

    Putting all my chips on the week of the 20th Hail Mary storm

    We know how this is likely to play out…wave 1 goes just to our north but is intense enough to squash wave 2.

    ICON went north compared to 0Z.

    I thought that the control mimics the global at this range. I guess we will find out this afternoon.

    WB 6Z Euro control for this weekend….

    In general, my hope was that by early this week we would have locked in on a specific threat supported by more than one model. That has not happened, maybe by this weekend.
