So far My forecasts from the local Mets are still calling for highs in the 30s for the Christmas weekend.

Iv3e said it before. I dont want it to Snow on Christmas Eve anyway. A lot of people will be going to family and friends that night. Also, lets just hopw the pattern changes for January and February. Look at the models... Just a run or two was cold and dry fpr Christmas.. Now the Euro is warm. What the he'll are these models doing. All I will say is be prepared for quick changes and some surprise storms that will make us all happy. Embrace the pattern... It is one of the most changeable patterns we have seen.

This is and has been a northern Massachusetts through the green and white mountains, as well as northern northern Nee York and Western Marine type of storm. Yeah, I'll get a little mix snow and some sleet ( and rain ) just to get that wintry feel in the air. Anxiously and patiently waiting for that first big snowfall for the tri-state area

I agree. Plus, my sister hosts a very big Gathering every Christmas Eve and we had to skip it last year. So, I'm really looking forward to it. I'd rather see us have big months in January and February. By that point will have forgotten about December anyway

I think you're misinterpreting what he said. He's not canceling winter, go back and read all of his posts. What he saying is the pattern is not giving him the warm and fuzzies that everyone thinks it's going to be. I guarantee you he wants to have a snowy and epic pattern as much as you or everyone else. I have to agree with CoastalWx. You guys know from some of my post that I'm mr. Optimistic and I don't like negative or cry baby parties. But, he is right in the sense that it's not the most optimal pattern. Everything has to line up just right in order for us to get I'm much better winter pattern going. Basically, it's not set in stone oh, that's what he saying. I'm sure he wants to have an epic winter as much as I do and everyone else here. But the pattern is not set up to have that with a 100% guarantee. We've been in a very volatile pattern, hence the warm warm temperatures we've had as of late. I'm hoping now that the pattern changes and we all get what we want to see

I can say the same for 95 being the rain snow line. There's many times where north of 95 or west of 95 it's snow and south and east of 95 is rain

You and your ice storms LOL. I'd much rather have sleet. The last thing I'd want is an ice storm. I would never want to have the damage and destruction and I stream can cause. Let alone losing power. Let's hope for sleet and snow

The analog for 2010-2011 had some real doozy's around here. Wouldnt mind a repeat. As much as I would love snow for xmas, I'd rather have a great run, that means it's starting in January I'll wait and be patient
