Actually.... With the amount of Snow we saw already, having this breaking accumulation is not a bad thing. The atmosphere needs to reload....we will see more snow as we move into new year

this winter is really passing us by quickly... won't be long until we are all immersed in high dews, beaches and baseball. Storms like today's bust really help too
Answer me this. Why do you bother participating in this thread? I think you're in the wrong thread. You should be in the Caribbean thread. Those are your peeps, not us

Lots of winter to go weenies. It's like worrying about a crappy summer on June 17th. We all know there's plenty of dews to go.
I'm never like this. Probably the most optimistic person on this form. Had some surgery almost a week ago, and I'm stuck in the house and feeling a little claustrophobic and somewhat down, hence the post. Guess I was just hoping for a little excitement to track while I'm in this house lol. It'll happen I'm sure. Anyway, back to our daily program

So guys. I'm fine with no white Christmas, but, I find it hard to believe that the Winter will be a bust. From the patterns I see happening the possibilities for this winter, I just don't see it ending up like last winter. I really do believe that we will get more snow that's weird run pack Christmas into January. Anyone else have a take on this

I was talking to snow88 in NYC and the length of winter there..
Let's just not give Dr. Dews the satisfaction of an answer anymore guys. He is obviously looking for attention. Merry christmas Dr Dews. May all your dreams come true.

I didn't read anything by earthlight in detail but yeah, when the dust settles, a few snow/ice events peppered around robust cutters and a torching pac should just about sum it up this winter
I'm just not in your camp. There is no Merritt in What your saying other than you do not like snow and cold. Torch for most of the Winter. I'm not sure you are correct.

Any chance this can come back into the models as a storm threat? I'd hate to think once it gone, it's not coming back? We've seen this before with other systems, right?

Our term for an overrunning event where the flow in the midlevels (basically H5 to H8) is out of the southwest....there's some different flavors to them, but they generally have an advancing sleet line that may or may not make it to us in SNE and typically the steadier precip is a 5-7 hour "Thump" since it is all associated with the warm conveyor belt.
Thanks gentlemen

WTF does that mean. We all know that Saturday is gonna pour..we’ve known that for a week. Then Monday night and Tuesday it’s gonna snow and sleet. What’s your point?
Listen, he brings nothing to the table. All he's trying to do is push everyone's buttons. I have no problem saying that I reported him. I feel he does nothing here but post his negative comments.. We're all entitled to our opinions, but he's not doing that, he's just trying to push buttons. Hopefully whomever the moderator is, they will see this and ban him from posting.

why would you want snow
For one..snow is prettier..for two..it's a lot easier to travel in snow than ice. Lastly, you're really asking me that question? Lol

No changes at all . Nice to see stuff hold. 3-6” final call and 2-4 coast
Hmm.. This is a tough one. Some models are showing the coast getting now, others show us inland getting the higher amounts. I guess we shall see?

Complaining it's not fair..or the winter is done, or, it's warm with rain..and cold and dry. I'm guessing you've never really experienced something that deserves complaining. Get a grip people. We are here to discuss weather events. Oh, and for the last time whiners....... It is December 8th....8TH!!!! We have already experienced some great snow events. Nice epic rainer next weekend. Too bad there is no cold anywhere in New England.
Well, we can take tomorrow into Tuesday as a good example. We got a rainstorm...but, now, we have a Snow event Tuesday night into Wednesday. This weekend is far from being written in stone. The way things have been going, I wouldn't be surprised to be surprised.

Why anyone is writing January off right now is truly unrealistic. We had such an awesome December, it's no wonder the last week and a half went to a more neutral and calm based pattern. It's a rare to have a pattern run the same way right through one month to the next month all winter long. Not saying it hasn't happened, but very rare. We just need patience people, January will have it's Sparks and moments of snow and cold. And so what about not having a white Christmas. Doesn't happen often anyway, so, it's not the end of the world. Everyone take a breath. Winter is not done, not by any means. True winter is really just starting
