    I saw this and verbatim it looks to favor the southern areas. But you’re right that it is north of its prior run.

    Onset is well under 72 hours. Gotta think this is in the Euro’s wheelhouse.

    It drops a foot in DC though verbatim.

    This is the warmest 850 panel for the Thurs-Fri event. Verbatim, DC only goes above 0 for one panel and then goes back under. Surface temps are good throughout the event. Seems to support mostly snow for DC although perhaps there are sneaky warm layers somewhere.

    Yep, this run was a pretty big step towards the Euro. Doesn’t look like the NAM at least.

    No worries. I think EPS (and now GFS) show that this will be a long duration event, with precip extending over a couple of days.

    This is precip from 6z EPS thru 0z Friday (which is the period of time to which I was replying). It’s about .4”, like the RGEM. More precip comes later on Friday.

    Isn't that a huge step back? Not really. This was 12z for the same time period. It’s just a 72 hr map.
