  1. Active severe season on tap if the long range 3 month models are correct about a slightly BN summer. Hottest part will probably be later in the summer, starting July and it could get a little dry at times but overall, active severe season.
  2. Round 2 just blew up outta nowhere over the chessy it seems
  3. Severe threat looks to be over. I had a nice short lightning storm, and a new cell popped up just east of me in the past half hour. Onto tomorrow, lol. Had a damn close strike btw
  4. Still some impressive dynamics around the Chesapeake and Delmarva area. There's still a lot of untapped energy in the areas where D.C and Balt have largely missed the action to the north. Wouldn't be surprised if we get woken up over the next few hours
  5. I think I see a wall cloud on the storm across the bay. Southern NJ storm.
  6. I like the cell popping up in NE MD. Already have -60C cloud tops over a small area. NE MD PUMMELED
  7. Primed for a late evening storm. MLCAPE values are up to 2500 J/kg and the lifted indices are up to -7.. but I'm curious to see what parameters show if there's lifting, or are we just wasting the juiced atmosphere away
  8. 89/78 here in the rotisserie zone. Supercell composite values are pretty decent down here, wouldn't be surprised if a nighttime/evening storm comes around
  9. This is one hell of a lightning storm. Constant barrage and this is the 2nd storm to pass over within a half hour.
  10. Still no cumulus clouds here yet.. just clear skies with high clouds from a storm to my south. eta 4:42 PM - gust front heading towards D.C may fire up new convection if it collides with that small thundershower west of Sterling
  11. Cloud debris clearing up west to east and the temperature has started rising again
  12. Knew it was gonna fizzle out on the north end and then snake south of my house.
