Think it was 92-93. They had to close the bridges in the NYC area to break off the ice as someone had been killed by a falling piece off the superstructure of one of them.
Outscored 17-6 on home ice (I forgot about the San Jose fiasco). sorry for the off topic everyone - but at least this is a friendly off-topic banter..... hoy vey to the last 48 hours in here!!!!!
Agree on all. Im thinking they fire Drury and make Sully GM/coach. They should trade Shesty to a win-now team for a nice haul. The Rangers are going to have 39 million in cap room this off season - which is one the biggest cap room budget in the league. Time for some shrewd managing!!! (Not Drury forte!!!)
Bruins are surprising. I am Rangers - what a weird team they are .... Best road record and worst home record (I think they've scored a whopping ONE GOAL at home all season!!! WTF?????)
I went sledding in Kokanee (sp?) by Banff like 25 years ago - or more. Was amazing, went thru slide zones and way above tree line. My buddy Steve hit a submerged stump and nearly tore the right sled off the machine. Had to put two hands on the left handle to make it go straight so the return trip thru some serious no fall zones was harrowing. Went near Tahoe 2 years ago as well - what an amazingly fun activity to take a day away from the slopes. I could see myself getting more into it as I retire in several years.
I think yes - the thing that worries me is how many teams Fenway owns - Red Sos, Penguins, Racing team, and Liverpool (currently at the top of the table)
Our schools allow one off day for snow and then it's the ole covid business model - HOME LEARNING. Plus is our school calendar is locked in and the last day is virtually cemented in time - minus is the lack of that last minute fun day off we all had as kids.
Thinking about coming up for a few days in the first week of March - Im thinking there is a chance of epicocity!!! Tree skiing could be treemendous!!!!
