  1. For what my opinion is worth, I don't really hate where I sit for this next big storm. Nothing is set in stone yet.
  2. It seems to me, in my amateur glory, that there are actually two seperate amped storms in this time frame, the second of which could be farther south and mainly a snow event.
  3. If I spooned glitter into my underwear and farted as hard as possible, that would roughly mimic what it looks like under the streetlights right now
  4. My hopes are currently touring the the ISS. (In all seriousness, I know the chances. I just hope that if I'm overly optimistic about every storm, then when I eventually guess one right I will be remembered as the god of snowstorms )
  5. Here is a comparison of some bigger models at 00z Thursday:
  6. The Euro is definitely amped up, but not too far north... yet.
  7. Fifty miles north, half a foot more
  8. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like if it were to end up a stronger system, this storm looks like it could be a quite long-duration event right? At least for someone?
  9. I assume "does" was supposed to be "doesn't" right
  10. Pretty good hit for Chicagoland on the 12z Euro. Please, whoever makes the storm thread, don't jinx it.
  11. I find the CMC's return to the stormy side of things regarding the mid-week threat to be encouraging.
  12. While the CMC and and GFS trended it clean out of existence
  13. Tuesday, February 11th is my birthday. I will not check this forum, or any weather site, until the Friday before. If it doesn't snow at least as much as is depicted right now, I will be dissapointed for the entirety of ten seconds before resuming my usual weather-obsessing schedule.
  14. The boundary is like six inches away. So about one more hour of rain if I'm lucky
  15. For real though. Just checking, Alek is an adult right?
  16. I feel like every minute I spend watching precip struggle to fill in is a year off of my lifespan
  17. The LOT AFD mentions .5-0.6in QPF for tomorrow night so combined with tonight's totals, this seems not entirely impossible.
