  1. We as a society need to tackle this. Inexcusable. We can have a robot play catch with a tennis ball on Mars, but can't determine if it will snow in Roxboro.
  2. Speak for yourself. This isn't a hurricane, and we don't live in Buffalo. Enjoy your once a year (maybe) chance at snow -- and lighten up.
  3. This actually makes more sense, in that those ice totals were never really realistic for NE SC/ENC. Those are not ice favored areas. They traditionally receive snow or rain. This is turning into a classic coastal deal that we used to see more of in the 80s. Consider Christmas 1989, a foot of snow+ was really confined to Hwy 17 from Jacksonville to Elizabeth City.
  4. Another reminder that in 40 days, trees will be budding/blooming and spring training will be in full swing
  5. Oddly this past week this place was booming. Now that it looks good for C/ENC, it’s a ghost town.
  6. Surprised to learn they even have a blue color on that thing. WRAL only believes we can receive mixed precip or rain.
  7. Boone, NC has a climate more analogous to one in Massachusetts but you let those people post here
  8. That really doesn’t look too dissimilar from everything else. Just a more expansive precip shield.
  9. Incredible Euro has 2.5 inches for Raleigh and 9 inches for Granville county. Always on the edge.
  10. Yes. I’ll take. Check. C/ENC would be shut down for a week
  11. CMC with 6 inches for most of Wake County. Pretty straight forward, and similar to 12z.
  12. An average of the Euro/CMC and GFS yields basically an ideal event for C/ENC
  13. From an overrunning event? I’d like to see examples. This isn’t some wound up bomb pushing SE flow.
  14. I said last night if I lose, I’d prefer that scenario
  15. So his thoughts are…. “We will see”? Very insightful Fish.
  16. I’m almost to the point of taking 2-4 inches of clean snow and cashing out. Flirting with phases and big dogs is a risky, mixey proposition. edit: CMC is actually a really great storm for NE NC
