    Not seeing the quick southward shift on radar...which one shows the west end of the lake??? Looking at the northern edge of the band over southern Ontario the line does not move.

    Still terrible conditions in Williamsville...starting to believe the open waters over the northern part of lake Erie is going to continue feeding this band all night.

    That 17.7 is from 1pm. It has not stopped snowing...not to mention I'm at almost 2 feet for the whole event. In fact I'm kinda questioning the low end of that as it has snows an average of an inch an hour for about 24 of the last 36 hours. Yes there were periods of 2 to 3 inch an hour and periods of 1/4 to 1/2 inch hour. It averages out. If this band stays put and it continues to snow 30" is not a pipe dream.

    Todd just said the northern band should stay steady state until this time tomorrow night. Love this.

    Just read the blizzard warning for Northern Erie County raised the new snow amount from 5 to 10 inches to 10 to 20 more and it does not say southern portions of northern Erie like it normally does. This is now officially an epic storm for the Northtowns...its been far too long. Going to enjoy...plus also been updated that the LES will continue through Friday morning.

    Sure did...stopped snowing here for about 30 minutes, sun even came out...now heavy snow again as the northern "rogue" band is locked over Amherst/Williamsville/Clarence.

    The northern band still dropping up to an inch an hour...took a drive to Sheridan and the corner of my street and snow plowings are 4 to 5 feet tall 2 1/2 feet on the ground and 23" for the storm.

    Did Cejka just say the band is going to lift back north into the metro Northtowns later tomorrow again???

    They're extremely efficient at accumulating...not the pixie dust I was anticipating. Winds are picking here gusting at times to 20 mph. BW is it also true Frontier decided against closing??? I do not see them anywhere on the list of closings...if they didn't that is a decision that will be highly questioned

    Truth...the models ALWAYS underwhelm when it comes to true band placement. All morning yesterday and even the evening before NONE of the meso-models had the band anywhere near the Northtowns let alone Niagara county...yet here we are more than 24 hours later and I am still under 1/2" to 1" hour rates. You would think local Mets would have the recognition bit they seem to become 10 second Tom...

    Over 2 feet and counting. Still snowing. Looks to be steady state the next 5 or 6 hours. Going to measure the snowpack when I snowblow the driveway in an hour.

    I've measured 12.2" in Williamsville since this morning...im at 21.4 on the ground. If another 18 is realized and I see no reason why not I will approach 30" for this storm...the rub will be the winds and the smaller dendrites as the cold air deepens. Just incredible out right now

    Just went home for lunch and measured 6.6" of absolute fluff!!!bif parachutes...no wind and accumulates easily...when the wind kicks in later and the snow becomes finer I'm almost guaranteeing we'll see a blizzard warning....neighbor across the street says he is in contact with emergency services and thruway is going to close later this evening.

    I do see some of the shearing that Cejka was talking about here in Williamsville as it does go from heavy snow to light snow with holes in the clouds.

    Eastern end of lake Erie is looking impressive already...im thinking this really gets cranking around 11 or so and unfortunately the drive home is not going to be easy at all.
