  1. I just woke up, and looked out the window to see it’s just a mist everywhere, with these temps I knew before I even read your comment that our neck of the woods had to be a a slick mess!
  2. More like just holds off about a day before blasting us all.
  3. GFS and Canadian couldn’t be more opposite for temps next weekend.
  4. This is a temperature gradient that I can’t wrap my head around.
  5. Was literally just noticing that in the NAM 3K Overall NAM seems to be splitting the difference in temps between the “warm” Euro and cold GFS.
  6. All 3 major players indicating a winter storm on the 15th. GFS & Euro look pretty similar, Canadian stretches out the precip along the SW flow. Good sign so far though. Euro delays the really cold air by a few days. 12Z NAM agrees with the euro on those temps.
  7. Yeah, that run is one of those storms they’d talk about for decades. We shall see, still a long ways out and lots of variables. But with us being entrenched in polar air for such a long stretch, our chances for a significant winter storm are certainly more likely than normal. Just have to get a favorable track!
  8. 18Z GFS looking COLD. Also has us on a highway of winter storms on the 11th, 15th, and 17th.
  9. Yeah, but by the time it dies down in the evening the temps drop into the mid to low 20's, so there might be some staying power with it.
  10. I could get behind this. 18Z runs of the NAM 12K and 3K
  11. Wow..... Canadian goes hard with the cold air this run for sure. Look at these wind chills.
  12. The Canadian is comical at the moment. So far Tulsa has endured over 2 days straight of light sleet in the low to mid 20's....and still going.
  13. I know this doesn't look like much, but when you see what the temps are, this has the potential to be a big headache. I recall about 4 or 5 years ago here in Tulsa, we had a chance at some freezing drizzle, and forecasters weren't overly concerned as it would be light. But the roads locked up that evening and it was a total mess. It's going to be mid 20's with this falling, that'll be a instant light glaze on the roads.
  14. That’s one of those light glazes that really do in the roads.
  15. 18Z GFS sticking to its guns for now. I think what’s striking about this, is it’s duration, it starts Monday afternoon and lasts until Thursday morning.
  16. 18Z GFS keeping things interesting for this next system, looks drastically different than the 12Z run.
  17. Something to look at on the Euro. Last frame from last night. Will be curious to see what today's afternoon run shows.
  18. NAM creeping northward with those higher totals. I get the feeling that by noon tomorrow the whole metroplex will be under the Winter Storm Warning.
  19. Popping I here to pretty much say this. Euro is an outlier, almost all the others show Dallas and Tarrant getting in on it too. 12Z HRRR shows the back end of the low coming though as well, setting up some moderate wrap around bands moving through DFW. I think they’re very much undergoing it at this time.
