  1. Stuff has a history of amping up as we move closer to the event. I would feel good east of the Blue Ridge.
  2. I got what @C.A.P.E. experienced. Gusty rains and T&L. Best roll cloud aesthetically speaking in recent memory. All of the good ones have been at night.
  3. Timing was garbage for you guys. It was really close to being something more. Judging on how things have transpired there will be more threats to come.
  4. N.J. weather: Wind gusts as high as 87 mph rip up Wildwood boardwalk, cause damage along Jersey Shore
  5. Timing has been off for DC for some time which is odd because that's what you guys do best.
  6. I may get shrekt hardcore on this event. Pray for me because the Kent Island cell is heading right for my house.
  7. Timing is a bit off for DC folks but looks promising. KGED is in the mid 70s.
  8. Our profile and column is getting trashed by the front-running convection but it is very warm in OH valley. Good for warm air advecting our way to victory.
  9. Now we transition to a warm season board. That's a good way to start the decade.
  10. I would wager there is less to burn per acre? Thoughts? On a positive note the moistening trend should move from West Australia to the deep south going forward.
  11. A.) Why are we not headed towards disaster? B.) Why is global warming a non-threat? Quite the contrary it appears to be a threat multiplier at a time when we are most vulnerable.
  12. Well better get back into the hall and steer this ship away from disaster.
  13. Right but for the wrong reasons. Curtailing overpopulation through personal decisions just serves as palliative care for your posterity at this juncture will not turn our trajectory away from resource overshoot or rather for the more sensible among us - extinction. Have fun whistling past your 2030 graveyard because dieing in 2050 will just be that much better.
  14. All failed movements always end in hate speech and fear-mongering. As well that's how you can weed out the liars from the people operating on good faith.
  15. Nobody ever posts the Euro because it has been perpetually bad since Christmas at least and probably prior. This is hilarious that you keep chasing this stuff. Enjoy the almost historic torch and just imagine that you are experiencing the other end of the spectrum.
  16. Seems more like a Hadley cell problem than a pattern reloading problem or bad Atlantic. In the end it's bad to chase ghosts especially when the timescales are so massive. You would be here in perpetuity constantly doubting your sanity. Feel free to call up David Keith or give him a tweet. Maybe he can help you or maybe it's out of his reach too.
  17. Yes it's a longitudinal issue that will only get worse with climate change. I think this is the first winter where the Atlantic is overpowering the Pacific Doom Blob EPO. Remember the ocean is where the AGW signal will show up first.
  18. It's functional enough to feed you but dysfunctional enough to make you miserable. They want to lower the upkeep costs for the slaves and prevent rebellion.
  19. It's just a shame that it has come to this. We couldn't let go of capitalism and even after it's killing people's social mobility and the sustainability of the Earth systems. There is almost zero incentive to keep capitalism around other than it feeds 7 billion people. I think that's why people hold onto capitalism.
  20. Nature is rife with examples of self-destruction. As distasteful as it may be it is only ephemeral.
  21. Exactly but I don't quite see it in the same light. It's a convincing argument but as it stands now humans are not separate from the natural processes.
  22. So true. We live in dire times that demand extreme measures but if you know that global warming will eliminate everything but sub-lethal carbon dioxide emissions by 2050 then there's reason to be complacent. Yes it's a less than ideal situation but we will take what we can get. Geoengineering is the only thing that scares me to be honest. I think Dane Wigington is right on the "money". The difference between me and Dane is that I don't believe there is an active aerosol injection program ongoing. All current aerosol emissions are unintentional. (a byproduct of global industrial civilization)
