  1. hopefully we can get some "training" later on
  2. dewpoint pooling? interesting, didnt know that was a thing
  3. Think we'll need all the instability we can amass here in SNE during peak heating since best forcing seems to be NNE until the evening.
  4. MLCAPE values finally above 1500 for all of the region.
  5. its SNE though, so the most probable outcome is always a dud. Nevertheless, I can't remember the last time I was in an enhanced risk.
  6. I'd settle for a clearly visible CG at this point
  7. Maybe Tuesday is a better shot at some severe. Sigh
  8. @weatherwiz thread for Saturday warranted or no?
  9. It was horrific. We got 4" or so of slop in Somerville while Winchester, 4 miles away, received 18 inches. We moved to Concord a month later, which was just a little too late! I'll remember that pain for a while, a little like the disappointment following no flip to snow in that early March 2018 storm (back when I was even more of a weenie).
  10. Saturday has got to be a slight risk day with that strong cf passage
  11. Let's see if we can do anything with this 3k CAPE we have here in Eastern Mass. Doubtful
  12. Just endless CGs in the area today
  13. A floridian day in the Northeast
  14. Perhaps more impressive is MLCAPE values exceeding 2000 J in those same spots.
  15. There's some serious SBCAPE into SW sections of SNE pushing 4000 J in some spots. Shame there isn't a forcing mechanism to fully take advantage
  16. Tstorm activity looks pretty promising tomorrow
  17. I'm just excited for this NW flow, which hopefully brings lots of EMLs
