  2. https://photos.app.goo.gl/bu31GMN8HUfn2mJNA https://photos.app.goo.gl/tsaYXH6ZWLwwrn4k6 Nice lightning capture, Danehy Park Cambridge
  3. Someone should do an analysis of the average lifespan of a severe storm in New England. Would help to contextualize expectations for storm livespan even in supposedly favorable environments
  4. It turns out you have to move to South Hadley to see any action in SNE
  5. I wish I could give a pep talk to these route 2 drenchas. Go go go!!
  6. " The KENX VWP depicts around 40-50 kt of 0-6 km unidirectional bulk shear oriented oblique to the band of convection, which should continue to support deep/persistent updrafts embedded in the line. " Eh. No expectations but it would be cool
  7. Good shear and good instability out ahead of these storms (that actually exist and are strengthening). Yippee
  8. I think it's gotta be exhaust from storms to our south. Is there a summer equivalent of conditional symmetricl instability?
  9. Propagating cold front in NY state and Supercell composite values 4-8+ over SNE = failed severe day?
  10. Speaking of lapse rates, they look pretty good on the 3km
  11. Weird to me that ORH barely sneaks into the 90s when BOS hits 100. Is this common?
  12. Gotcha. But isn't it the case that if a parcel is saturated, it falls in temperature more slowly, thus increasing difference in temp of parcel and ambient atmosphere?
  13. Either way though we're dealing with high dews though right? In my understanding that should increase the floor for ML instability
  14. I didn't notice the pollen at all driving down to Canton today for what it's worth
