  1. We got teased big-time last week. Probably won't be nice again until May. Ugh.
  2. It feels like Beasley has been in the league forever. You're right; those hits take a toll, especially as an undersized receiver. He got a lot of targets when he was on Dallas.
  3. I don't like the bugs either (biggest downside of summer in my view) but once you get a taste of the nice weather like we had on Friday, I'm all in on summery conditions. I was actually annoyed that I had to put a jacket on this morning.
  4. It's amazing how each new contract in the NFL seems to set some kind of record for compensation. It's really a game of "can you top this" with quarterback pay. I guess that's how desperate teams are to get their hands on anyone who even holds the possibility of being the savior at that position.
  5. Mayfield was hurt last year but I read that the Browns felt there were attitude issues with him also. Still, they could be trading one headache for another here. Interested to see how it plays out.
  6. He's probably looking at a six-game suspension next season despite the criminal charges being dropped. The Browns apparently structured the contract so that they're not paying out as much in 2022 to account for the probable suspension. You're right though, that's a lot of money.
  7. Deshaun Watson to the Browns. Wonder where Baker Mayfield ends up. https://www.nfl.com/news/texans-qb-deshaun-watson-expected-to-be-traded-to-browns
  8. Wonder if they're still trying to make up for the Covid season also.
  9. I'm in. Feels great out there.
  10. Busting high definitely seems a lot more commonplace than busting low.
  11. What I question is the consistency of these rules. Why can Kyrie Irving be in the stands, two feet away from the Nets' bench and not be allowed to play? What is the difference at that point? Why let him in the arena at all if public health is the concern? I'm vaccinated and boosted but logic tells me that a lot of these regulations just don't make much sense.
  12. Forecast temps seem to overperform a lot these days. Wonder if somebody could make a run at 80 on Friday...my high is projected to be 73.
  13. Thanks. Heard it can be helpful but figured I'd verify with some experienced lifters. My training definitely took a hit during the peak of Covid but I've been in a pretty good groove for the last several months. I do feel recharged.
  14. For those who work out (I think BuffaloWeather does)...is taking a week off from lifting detrimental or helpful? I haven't been to the gym since Tuesday. Got busy with other things and just felt like I needed a break. Definitely getting back in there after work.
  15. The seasons seem to have shifted a bit also. It stays warm longer in the fall and it often takes longer to get extended periods of nice weather in the spring.
  16. Too much of a good thing. I don't know how they do it in locales where snow is commonplace from October until April or May.
  17. https://nypost.com/2022/03/14/nfl-free-agency-2022-tracker-live-updates-of-player-signings/
  18. Fernando Tatis Jr. out up to three months with a broken wrist. Big blow for the Padres and baseball. One of the game's biggest drawing cards right now. https://www.mlb.com/news/fernando-tatis-jr-wrist-fracture
  19. Not a day with a high below 54 in my extended forecast that goes through the first week of April. Looks like we won't see another flake until November or December at the earliest.
  20. This guy loves the attention. The initial retirement controversy happened right around Super Bowl week, now he announces his return on Selection Sunday for the NCAA tournament. I'm sure that was calculated in an attempt to upstage those events.
  21. Don't need much precip to make things slippery either. I saw a picture of a nasty multi-vehicle wreck on the Turnpike yesterday morning. Apparently, one guy spun out and it caused a chain reaction.
  22. Need to give the fans something to get loud about, Jack. I understand his injury issues but I think it's unfair to bash the fans. Buffalo loves the Sabres but they're beaten down by so many years of failure and ineptitude. That city would lose it if the Sabres made another deep Cup run or ever won it all.
  23. Glad they came to their senses. Would have been idiotic to lose games over what they were fighting about. I'm more of a casual baseball fan but I'm happy for the true diehards.
