I hear you, but there is SUCH a bias on this board by snow zealots that even mentioning kinda liking seasonal warmth tends to be shouted down or made fun of.  In any event, the cold IS an issue with my wife - as much or more so than the sun, and I can tell you that days like yesterday and today help.  I know no one here controls the weather, but begging for crazy snow events and anomalous cold into late March and April is like nails on a chalkboard to some for personal reasons.

But you are posting on a winter storm thread (it literally has winter in the thread title), where most people come to chase track snow storms and root for them to happen.

I also am not diminishing, as I have some winter blues myself, but tracking snow and experience the snow is the best antidote for me, so that's why I root for snow.

Dang, was just hoping everyone was asleep and not doing mPING reports. I’ll keep squinting at the street lamp though I guess.

I keep checking outside because of radar returns, but I know the mesos say it will be morning before there is accumulation imby.

Light precip echoes approaching Charlottesville... let’s see if I can score a little before morning.

I wish you luck, but so far virga out here in the valley to your west.  Some dry air to overcome.

Nobody has talked about this "storm" for an hour so what "storm" are you referring to? I promise this will be my last post ever on this site. Besides a few of you, the actual weather people. You folks are weird! You bitch and complain over snow! As some of you know, I own a rather large snow removal business. It seems at times like the snow or lack there of bothers you guys more than me? Wanna talk about me RESPONDING to a football post? F off! You guys ran off one of the top 2 contributors here! And you wanna talk about a storm? Well here it is, from over 20 yrs of snow removal:

Tomorrow, you'll wake up and go to work. Any snow will melt on roads immediately. You'll collect your check from work, and get right back.on here and bitch and complain again. Congratulations!

I like a bunch of yall, its been real. But without bobchill this aint worth reading..

I didn't run Bob Chill off.   I don't bitch and complain.  I think the snow will stick here as there is still ice and snow on the roads from Sunday.  I may not have to go to work because I am a teacher.

Yes, I do want to talk about this "storm" because it will give parts of my county up to 4".  And yes, I think if this were a storm for the DC and Baltimore crew the football and banter would have been deleted a long time ago.

Love how this thread derailed. I have faith in this little system. I’m not worrying about it. All i want is some snowflakes

It really has been consistently modeled from 5 days out on the GFS twins and Icon.  I like this little system, too, and have faith in seeing some snow tomorrow.

Can we just delete this thread? This system is the story of the winter for me, another weak storm with marginal temps where maybe I see a few flakes for a couple hours then mix with rain. Pretty sure my snow total for the season will finish under 15”

It’s not going to be good for 80% of the forum. West Va, western VA should really have a separate forum but I guess it’s not feasible

So, I should be in a different forum, and the thread should be deleted.  Got it.

Why would the thread need to be deleted just because you don't think the system is good for you?  lol

  8. Under a WWA in Augusta County now for 1-3".  NAMs, Euro, GFS twins all look to be on board.  The ground here is still super cold and holding onto ice and snow from our last storm.  Low of 26 tonight and a high of 35 tomorrow should support accumulating snow.  I am excited and hoping it gives my wife and I a day off of work since we both teach.

Looks like a good small event for the counties west and southwest of me as well as counties to the north in western VA.

  9. If the current consensus of the models verify with accumulating snow for the western counties of VA from southern WV north, the ICON and the GFS twins schooled the Euro from 4-5 days out.  The King also had 4" for me on the last storm and I had 2".  Just stating the obvious and saying that although it is our best model to date, it isn't infallible.

Good luck out that way !  Just light rain here in eastern Augusta..

Extremely tight gradient on this storm.  I was thinking of driving out to Outlook Mtn west of Mt Solon because it is likely getting 5-6" to my likely 2-3".  And it is only a 15 minute drive!!

I HATE the warm seasons with a burning passion. Hate the flowers, overgrown everything, bugs, pollen, sunburns, sweating just from going outside. There is literally nothing I look forward to. I like the beach in warm weather, but I don't need our summers to have that. I could go to a Florida beach for vacation during the winter if I wanted to experience it.

Basically, you could wipe out our Spring and Summer and I wouldn't lose one ounce of sleep over it. Don't get me wrong, I love a nice 55 degree sunny day! I just wish that was our max in the warm seasons. That would be beautiful! Does anyone know a place where Summer temps top out between 55-65 degrees on average?

    Alaska
