Our forum in Central PA has several posters from the Harrisburg, York, & Lancaster area. Just about all of the Mid Atlantic posters are from MD,DC & VA.
Please learn how it works here, or make better posts that add value here.
Yeah, it is not rocket science. 36.3 degrees here. Still nada, but looks to be a moisture slug headed here from the WSW arriving shortly. Fingers crossed.

32/12 in Augusta County. Still hoping for something frozen tonight.

While the snowfall output is fun to laugh at it does show how the CAD could be significant enough to at least get decent frozen as far South as Fredericksburg. And how our MD friends could get a significant snow/sleet/ice event
It also shows how CAD may help out here in the Shen Valley at elevation, which is why I haven't yet totally given up on this storm. Low around 12 tonight per NWS. Hoping the cold has some lasting power.

Amazing in 2018, only God know how much ?!$&@ will be on the ground by Tuesday. Can only laugh harder looking at the long range thread...But I still love guessing!!!!

Was forecast by NWS to get up to 40 degrees today here near Staunton in Augusta County, but never went above 35.8. Hoping this portends something good for the strength of the CAD tomorrow evening. I just want something frozen at this point! lol

Yeah there is no other IPA- double, triple, whatever you wanna call it- quite like the DFH 120.
Starr Hill Double Platinum IPA (Charlottesville) and Devil's Backbone 16 Point IPA (Lexington) are slightly better, imho. But they are all so good!
eta: See some are upset that the beer talk isn't in banter. I will cease and desist

Not to split hairs but you’re pretty far down/out there brother.
1. Richmond is way further south than I am
2. I am further east than most all of WV, which is in this forum
3. You are almost as far from DC as I am, and I am closer to NoVa than you are, which is a huge part of this forum
not to split hairs though...

Yeah but Nov 15th wasn't that big (2-3 inches, perhaps), and the 9th was a total whiff except for the extreme southern parts of this subforum!
Not true. 12/9 storm brought 12 inches to me in Augusta County and I am not in the "extreme southern parts of this subforum". 1/12 was 5-6" here

Lmao Jeb! I think you belong in the North Pole or Antarctica. Either one would suit you well for how quickly a wet T-shirt could freeze to your skin. I do miss having the wicked cold as well, previously living in the northeast all my life until 2011. There really is nothing like going outside and having your damn nose hairs freeze. Just take in a big breath and it really is like something you’ve never experienced. Weird to say but it is super refreshing.
This. I grew up in upstate NY, between Albany and Saratoga. Because I had always had a scarf or something like it, my breath would freeze my eyelashes together, so periodically I would have to take a mitten off and melt the ice with my fingers.
I do love a good, cold airmass. However, agree with PSU that it is kind of wasted without being accompanied by snow.

I'm a little confused, isn't that the middle of the night tonight, or do I have myself mixed up?
I think he means 0Z to 6Z Friday, which is Thursday evening

A storm giving the northern tier good snow while semi-screwing the southern gang would balance the karma of things.
I thought that was what the storm a few days ago was for...

Augusta County...26/26. 1.5" so far and steady light snow

Here in Augusta County:
Part 1 gave me over an inch, then there was a lull in which it never stopped snowing. Now entering Part 2 of the storm which should have the most qpf and the best returns . Snow is picking up and radar looks juicy to my sw. Part 3 on Monday that some models are showing would be icing on the cake.

Hi WF. Sadly you aren't in a great location for radar. Blacksburg picks up some for you, and Sterling doesn't pick up well either. The box containing I-64/RT 220/RT33/I-81 could use some radar love. I know I am on the edge of the 'V' from Blacksburg that the beam gets partially blocked, VERY visible in light shallow snow events like lake effect streamers.
I have long noticed the triangle of non coverage where I live. Glad to meet another one who lives in the hole!

Steady, light snow here in Augusta County. Approaching an inch, 30.9 degrees. What do you all use for radar? Looking for a better alternative to intellicast.

Started snowing (pixie dust) here in Augusta County at 12:20. Big fatties started mixing in around 1:10. Light snow here now with flakes of all sizes. 31 degrees. So satisfying to see it falling after tracking it for what seems like forever! Good luck to all in the subforum (including mby)!

Went up to O Hill when it was snowing a few times in 1993-4 when I lived in the old dorms there. Good luck!
