  1. It didn't seem like we got much rain out of this- long duration but not heavy at anyone time. That being said the pack is toast and all of a sudden this morning our springs all erupted and streams started from all parts of our hill. Look like KLEB has 0.90 so far which feels right. The two closest stations on WUnderground are at 1.26 and 1.56.
  2. I remember one year in NJ it was warm and snowless and in the afternoon watching whatever Bowl game they play in El Paso. It snowed the whole game in Texas while we had a brown Christmas.
  3. Merry Christmas 2020 ! The year my kid started sleeping in on Christmas, no note to Santa, etc
  4. Last round I played was in St. Andrews about 15 years ago. I was playing the course adjacent to the Old Course. First tee I sliced into the fairway of the Old Course hole. I ran over and played from there so I can truthfully say I played on the Old Course at St Andrews. The wind picked up as I played. I lost some balls into the sea, others into gorse. The guys from the local University that I was playing with had season passes, cut a few holes to finish sooner, and left me behind. Eventually on the 15th or 16th, just so I could finish, I had to buy some balls from some young kids who were fishing them out of a pond to sell on. Fun and relaxed experience. There was even an older local man walking him dog off-leash through the course.
  5. Um those returns over the Delmarva are interesting.
  6. 36F here, snow compacted in a hurry the past day or so and will go fast today.
  7. Grinch storm of 2007 took us from 22" to zip in Bethlehem NH.
  8. I was cooking dinner on Sunday night. I was distracted for a couple of seconds and stood too close to the gas stove. I set the front of my sweater on fire. That pretty well summed up 2020 in my eyes.
  9. Snowing lightly here, it has been doing so off and on all morning.
  10. Is it too early to start the thread for the 2021 Grinch Storm yet? While it is locked in, I could see how it might be confusing to have it open along with the 2020 thread.
  11. Here is the Valentine's Day storm as a comparison.
  12. KLEB was -6 at 20:53 but have bounced back to -5. Wing plows get used over here a couple of times a winter but usually seem to jinx things into a lull.
  13. In terms of the Vermont record, was the January 1947 Peru claim of 60" not recognized?
  14. What time are you opening the presents that it is dark?
  15. I'm glad to see my report led to a nice round area of 18+ right over my area.
  16. Seeing that 6 hours before the event, it was only off on the placement of the heaviest snow in New England yesterday by about 250 miles, I think we can lock this in a week out.
  17. The reports from Ludlow,/Windsor area on the Public information statement or around 40" were all from early enough in the morning yesterday that I would have thought they got at least 10+ more. Have any newer reports from that area come in?
  18. If it cheers you, ride the CMC from 0Z.
  19. And like that, Phineas is introduced to the annual New England tradition known as the Grinch storm. My introduction was around Dec 23 of 2007 in Bethlehem NH, no too far from Phinland, when our 22" pack was taken to nothing in a single day.
  20. Yes but later runs of it really cut down on the totals in VT and NH and moved everything south.
  21. the SREF also did well about placing the heavy stuff through that area.
  22. I know but this time it was actually right.
