I bet if you looked at every single snowfall at Dulles ever the number that equaled 6" or greater is fewer than your age....57 years worth of snow dude and probably less than 50 events 6" or greater
Dulles has been on quite the streak for 5" or more snow events haven't they? March 2018, March 2017, Jan 2016, numerous events in Feb/March 2015, same with Jan-March 2014.

It's all cutter city garbage pattern. I would chime in if it was noteworthy. We need everything in our court these days to get snow at the shore.
You complained about the torch pattern last February and we got a sequence of 4 nor'easters in March, 2 of which gave a decent bit of us measurable snow.

Is that for the day 10 to 15 period?
Yeah, essentially nothing but a dusting from day 1-10 on the GEFS.

15 inches less than Harrisburg? Pass.
Don't worry, there's a higher chance you get the same amount of snow as Harrisburg with that storm. Zero.

If NC can lock in a storm 1 week out, we can lock in a storm 2 weeks out

That would be fun. If only...
Yeah, i'd pay in cold hard cash for even just some mood flakes during Christmas afternoon. To my novice eyes the GFS OP run doesn't look too god awful near hr 240, so hopefully the GEFS run doesn't look too horrible before the Euro Weeklies take us back to the ledge.

How many of those would it take to lift 150 lbs? Seriously....
One man tried to find that very thing out, even though the balloons likely carried more than 200lbs.

And the death spiral of this winter continues.....
This is already reaching infamy territory.
Yeah, not looking good. Extrapolating the 18z NAM at 84 hours doesn't look good for February. Low energies.

I JUST got home at 8, 1.5 hours for a normal 10 minute drive. This is just INCREDIBLE! I have 20.5 inches of snow on the day, 20 on the snowboard from 7 am (6:30)reading. It is STILL snowing but letting up. This is an epic fail on NWS, my forecast was 3-5 at 5, upped to 6-10 just before I left for work.
Insane!

At least it was well forecast!

TTB maps look slightly better than 0z last night. h5 isobars nudged north hr24 fwiw.
Perhaps better than last night's 0z, but south of 12z. Precip just barely scrapes south of DC as she slides out to sea.

South trend continues
Precip shield is actually further North of 18z, it's just that precip is light

Jeez that G
I see it now. Jeez that is just an amazing gradient. Like nothing I have ever seen with nearly a foot 50 miles to my south.
Blizzard of 2016 had something similar set up in New York State

I think the trick was banning Scud. I mean, we've had basically nothing but positive trends since that

They were extremely close from making a run at the playoffs. A ton of games early on in the season that were determined by 4 points or less. I wonder if they would've had 8 or 9 wins so far if they had gotten rid of Hue earlier..
