Neighborhood roads caving in Fairfax. Apparently non-weather nerds don't use the word caving like we do. My English teacher friends have been asking me for updates all day, and they were confused when I said my deck was caving. LOL.

I've been working in FCPS for over 25 years. They fluctuate in their closings, but they have been burned many times by forecasts of snow that ended up as cold rain. Then parents get pissed. So they often do a delay with a re-evaluation for closing. If the NWS would give us a WARNING, they would go ahead and close. But don't worry. They will probably change it later this evening to give parents a heads-up.

Can you get me a WSW in Fairfax County? We are only at an advisory. But I'd prefer they start low and go high. It usually doesn't work the other way.
