  1. Pigeon forge looks ok right now, I’d just keep an eye on weather.gov the rest of the day too see if that changes. I think you’ll be ok though, right now it looks like they might get an inch or so.
  2. I see what you did there, we are way too superstitious. Lol. Hope you score big!!
  3. 36 and a rain in Memphis at the moment. Looks like the snow sleet line is just north of Jackson at this point in the day. Little Rock seems to be in a good position to see some snow today, the cold air has really filtered into the mid state of Arkansas of the past 12 hours.
  4. What’s it looking like for totals in your area CG?
  5. I was wondering when you were gonna make an appearance, glad to see you posting @Kasper!
  6. Definitelyneed to keep an eye on the backend thump of this storm.
  7. Looks like it’s going to be an interesting day to say the least, it’s probably a blessing that this system is coming thru on a weekend instead of the work week. I’m rooting for everybody today, I hope we all can pull out Some snow accumulation the next 2 days!!
  8. Winter weather advisory issued for Most of West Tn as well as my county. Calling for a glaze of ice and up to an inch of the good stuff.
  9. A tad higher totals in certain areas but overall it held serve at 0Z.
  10. HRRR temps start to waffle back and forth from HR13 to hr17. Central Arkansas may be in for a nice surprise tomorrow though, Dyersburg as well. If I’m in east TN, I would like the Nightime arrival of most of my precipitation. Definitely gonna help you guys out with totals.
  11. HRRR shows snow in northwest tn/ark by 12z tomorrow with slight pockets of snow popping up in southeast TN around the same time. Temp profiles are coming in cooler through 12z as well. Hr13 shows sleet starting to fall in the northern edges of my county as well as a heavy band of snow moving into middle tn( both central and northern portions of middle tn)
  12. Yeah I wish we would hurry up and hire somebody. Hard to recruit without an offensive coordinator.
  13. I just made a post in the long range thread that kinda falls under this category. Seems like we’ve see a trend with these systems over the past year or so.
  14. Hadn’t noticed that, I’ve been to wrapped up with the current system we’ve all been tracking to even look out hat far. Ha. It is surprising that you guys bring this up though. The small November snow storm we just had last month wasn’t showing up long range for a while but another storm had been for a week or so. We all tracked it and then about 3 days out things changed and we lost out on the storm. But no sooner did we lose out on the first storm then the second (November snow system) started to show up on models. By Wednesday night I had an inch of snow on the ground. I say this just to point out how it’s funny how these systems have come in waves lately, it’s kinda similar to the setup we had with our Trowal snowstorm this past January as it was preceded by another system 3 days later that dropped more snow for a lot of the forum. Seems like there has been a trend with these systems this year!
  15. I agree, it’s been pretty locked in for a few days. I’ll take baby steps at this point, lol!
  16. I believe that was 2015, it was a huge bust for West Tennessee too. They were saying we could have blizzard conditions the day before the storms arrival only to get nothing!
  17. NWS Memphis is saying The pacific storm system traveling across the southeast has a trended further south from the latest models runs. Something to keep an eye on!
  18. Looks like it’s gonna be a boom or bust weekend for most of us. Still plenty of time for variables to change the outcomes but It’s looking more likely this will be a nowcast event though.
  19. Yeah your right, FV3 just won’t budge!! I hope it’s right. Lol
  20. Ober might be fun this weekend. Cades cove outta be pretty sweet too!
  21. I agree, it’s awfully suspicious how solid each model has been with its solutions. Each one is poking its chest out to see who’s top dog it seems.
  22. The FV3 is trying to throw us a bone buddy!! Big totals up your way for that run.
  23. I am right there with you man, it has exhausted me as well. It stinks to always be on the cutoff line. Maybe the good lord can bless us with a nice surprise!! I know you’d like to show your 1 year old a good snow so I’m rooting for you. JC sounds like a good place to go for this one. Folks who booked trips to the mountains this weekend are gonna be in for a nice surprise it seems, wish I could be up in that location for this one. Fingers crossed we get some good model trends today, the euro still has a lot of I-40 specials in its 50 members, maybe we can squeeze one out of there!! Always enjoy you input too man, hope you and the family are doing well.
  24. 850 temps are looking better this morning via the euro for my area. we hover around 32 all day Saturday before going below 32 around midnight Sunday morning. Then we’re under 32 through Monday afternoon. Looks like the back end of this storm could be interesting too, Monday is showing promise for a lot of us which would be awesome if that panned out. Winter storm watches also have filtered into central and northern Arkansas this morning!!
