I’d like to hear Wills thoughts on Feb
At what % do Medium range weeklies , Twitter Mets and ensembles have to fail *in the day 14 -21 time frame * that Amy mention of these to make a prognostication should be couched in a caveat that they are not of significant value at those lead times OR is there a case to be made that day 14++ ensembles have been worse than usual (I was under impression that range was never of much value regarding accuracy )

Probably...I'm still sneaking into the banding, its ripping here...but the best is NW. Hopefully back builds south some. Might also fill in a bit from the south in a bit.
Looks like next few hours along that path dentrite mentioned of along and just north of the 7H track which looks to me just N of ash to Concord but I’m no pro

Not saying 19", but you were whining about radar that night, too...so that is another similarity.
We hope you Jack
radar looks decent now basically ORH up NE thru 495 and North

I remember folks were saying the same thing the night of 1/7...just saying...
The only similarity to that system I see is it was in January

Yeah, they're all multi-million dollar properties, and luckily not on a private road!
When I visited friends on vacation at Beaver Creek , Co I was just drooling at some of the mansions at about 9500’

Yeah, I think that may be the case. I plan on driving up High Meadow Road in Newbury tomorrow (little over 10 mins away from me) to check out what the wealthy end up with. There are a couple homes up that way that are over 2000ft.
Sounds like a awesome weenie spot and probably nice properties

Maybe New Ispwish area?
HRRR is probably overdone, but the 22z run goes wild with qpf in SNH this evening. Drops 3/4" around MHT
If the convective stuff can go wild for more than an hour it would be exciting . But I mean just look at the radar , it’s fulgy
I really did enjoy this heavy snow squally / convective thing that just came thru my area

I have 1.1" new on existing snowpack and about 0.6" on deck and deck railings.
I think the area is going to be starved for QPF

If some outside of far NW CT or Dave sees more than 6” I’ll give them a dollar
On a positive note , leaving grocery store looks like dentrites again in Bedford Ma

Yeah there’s prob some spots above 1000 feet that got close to 2”…esp a little further south near ORH and Paxton…wonder if Pickles ever went to Paxton.
Negative . I was content in Holden and got out of there when I saw rates drop .
Currently on Billerica / Chelmsford line at pressed cafe and it’s snowing steady fatties and not accumulating but grass is fully covered here

I did midnight madness there probably 20 years ago. It's when they went to 2am. I was getting ready to leave right after midnight when a cold front came through and dropped an inch of the lightest powder - kept me going almost to the end. I got to bed sometime around three and had to get up the next morning early - that was difficult. Back then it was a big college crowd. Lots of fires around the mountain and lot of drinking. I assume things are much calmer now.
A little calmer
mostly 16-25 year old dudes so not calm

I have a yurt I built there in 2014, but otherwise I haven’t seen anyone

Go up 31 to Paxton. You could go up to Princeton too but you’d prob need to go to WaWa lodge to find food in that town.
Does this thump slide by to the east at this latitude next hour
do you think it hangs on at least moderate for a while

Paxton is around 1200 feet downtown near 31/56/122 intersection. Prob one of the best spot for this storm.
Paxton house of pizza used to have decent pizza and subs but haven’t tried it in eons.
Haha I edited post. I’m in Holden
but I’m damn hungry and may swing to Paxton , roads messy
My app says I’m at 800’

In Holden , Ma . Took a drive . Probably going sit down somewhere for lunch
Heavy snow , approximately an inch on everything

You can see SW part of 495 and even inside has cooled with heaviest banding
