Seems that if you don’t get better within 7 days of symptoms , that is when you go down hill rather quickly (hospitalization) and that is when folks have a higher chance to deal with the real lasting damage That results to various organs ..the long haulers . The minority that require hospitalization ...many accounts seem to be of going thru hell .. If you develop that sort of immune overreaction (can’t recall the word for it) that is when your enter the deep trouble and your life is in danger

Two ladies this morning told me they were putting their memberships on hold if we require masks . Before you laugh, try working out at 100% with a mask on . This studio barely survived the last year , so I’m sure baker will over-react , it’s just so easy to say masks are required (regardless of it having little effect in high vax states) The states that would benefit from this won’t follow the CDC anyway , so it’s sorta ...toothless for effect

It has been and will continue to be quite the social undertaking . They have tried to entice people with gifts and prizes to take the vaccine , which I think is pretty cool as opposed to in a dictatorship they show up at your door and hold you down for the shot . The vax numbers are not going to go much unless the authorities focus more on the pain axis then then the pleasure / reward side . Forcing for flight or for entrance to stadiums , etc is the only way the number is going to significantly move up from this point , or a new strain evades the vaccine . But as you said the 20-30 year olds are hesitant and so are many minorities but it’s easy to call out idiot trumpers to take out frustrations . I have such a vast array of friends in the Nashua area and I can promise you “minorities” are very skeptical of the authorities . People may want to focus on that more than 60 year old trump supporters because that is blessed by the left , other avenues ..not so much

I Think folks could consider for many folks the media has become so focused on ratings and Hype that some folks basically treat News and most data (given even the scientific journals have been compromised and bad science had made its way into top journals from scientists receiving gain of function research $) that some have completely lost their trust and That’ is being underestimated and glosssd over. . Thar is a part of some people’s hesitancy , combine that with data that shows vaxxed folks are well protected against hospitalization, there is not a strong pull to do it for the other persons safety if they believe vaxxed are protected and they personally aren’t worried due to their age or ignorance or beliefs

Just a weekly mask update from the very liberal training studio I work at in Lexington . No masks tonite . 11 clients . One of the clients is a researcher for BioNTech. Much against anti vaxx mentality in general , wasn’t moved to wear a mask indoors tonite and did mention something I wasn’t aware of , she said that the viral load of those infected with delta variant maybe much higher than the other strains . Haven’t read that .

The last two pages is almost exclusively about masking and if the data shows it decreases case loads 1.5% , which I thought it would be much More ...then what is the point . Other than a CYA recommendation by CDC and more of a psychological boost than a scientific /data Driven point . Seems it’s just like a “we can’t do much , so I guess we will do this , if you polled the Mask wearing public I would guess they believe it provides very good protection. It’s not easy to find data on how much masking helps .

It’s garbage guidance But it’s generally because they are not going to Trust unvaxxed folks to mask up so they do a blanket statement The overwhelming majority of Transmission is from unvaccinated people , that is the data , it makes no scientific sense to set the bar at zero transmission...so saying bc vaccinated people can spread the virus (but haven’t to a significant degree) that vaxxed are back wearing masks is nonsense scientifically . But making everyone wear masks is only way to make people who are more likely to spread it to slow transmission , thou it will still spread . That is what they are * really saying *

I got the vaccine , I’m done with forced masking and the politics of “science” based journals and organizations before getting the vaccine I was used to masking to be “polite and or courteous” now I could give a F who is upset

That is pretty accurate . The non vaccinated have never made a peep as to wish the vaccinated will wear a mask to protect them . I would argue the vaxxed are much more concerned the unvaxxed will keep numbers up and contribute to the vaxxed having a higher chance of a break thru case . As far as the vulnerable go , it’s obvious folks that are 70-75 and up and the very obese later middle age (55+ into Seniors are at great risk . I would like a updated stat as to the median age of current COVID deaths I.e( last 30 days ) the media is clear that most seem to be non vaccinated so I am just assuming it’s the two groups I mentioned above and those ages are the leaders even thou the stats show the 20-30 age group is the most hesitant to take the shot as they have some fertility concerns , aren’t that worried about their risk and thus some have decided they want more data .
