  5. I find this to be the case for myself when I’m chasing snow storms (But with a tad more enjoyment during ) . Anyone here knows I will travel to any spot I can wedge my car to experience a heavy snowfall but the Actual excitement level of watching dentrites pile up (either outside in a snow suit) or while watching radar / and the window from inside a hotel room is not thaaat rewarding in the moment . Some of it I think is escaping an area where it will be raining . The biggest exception I have to this is my fascination with large barreling swells . The anticipation of tracking them is not nearly that of a nor’easter , it’s more of a silent knowing of what’s coming a couple days down the road (also nobody else seems to care lol ) but when you are on the jetty or cliff or shoreline and these 1-2 story swells are crashing close to me , it’s much much more enjoyable . I have a hard time leaving Cat 1-2 canes also offer a big lead up of excitement and also a exciting experience (especially if it’s not crawling along ) and not a house I’m invested in . Those are awesome- had a few in Florida
  6. Some folks say they can’t stand mid 70’s in summer but then when it hits 90 at their hood they go down to The water where it’s 75. Usually cooler days inland are offshore winds with temps at most beaches same as inland
  7. 73 and low dews and deep sun . We take
  8. Seems there is something to these observations
  9. Vince Wilfork’s adopted son charged with stealing and selling his dads Super Bowl Rings . Vince always seemed like a gentle giant , nice kid ...
  10. The media has 100% gotten worse . We can agree to disagree there but they have found a way to illicit emotion much better for clicks . They have honed their skills and they have many more outlets to overwhelm the chatter cycle and magnify emotion ..it’s 24/7 on multiple platforms ..and BC they are down to hype For clicks / views ...well that’s ..not good As a non business owner I’m not very concerned about variants . if I owned a business I would be Moderately concerned of the delta variant or others they may potentially develop later , mostly due to the trauma of what we just went thru, where “over reacting” for safety was the Protocol and many were forced into going out of business . That umm..is trauma . Maybe This turkey day there could be another “spike” that spooks decision makers this certainly has a seasonal pulse to it ...or maybe this mutates a bit more (delta variant is said to have different main symptoms- headache - sore throat ) sort of cold like bc the rest of the world hasn’t gotten this thing under wraps . Again personally.. I’m not concerned but it feels to me like as a society we tend to either over react to things or under react as coping mechanisms and I couldn’t be too comfy If I had a ton of financial retail exposure that this is truly over .
  11. 49/17/10 from KD to come from behind and retake series lead from Bucs was a statement game
  12. News media has devolved into a business . Attention grabbing and misleading headlines to garner clicks . The local news is NOT at that level (Or close ) but the politicized popular channels are and as are many trusted internet sources outside of maybe Reuter’s . The Covid has been no exception . It deserved a ton of coverage that is not the issue , it’s the hyping and selling perspectives and scrolling death dolls for effect / ratings that has infected the “news” and does so no matter the importance of the issue . So things get muddied. If people can’t see that they don’t want to . We also saw a disgraceful attempt to push aside a lab leak theory to protect gain of function research due to the “ummmm we might have accidentally f’d up green lighting this research that may have led to half a million ? Deaths “ This attempt spanned from top scientific journals (lancet) to all news media . That’s a fact . It’s a microcosm of the “think this way or we will cancel you and or you opinion “ that has infected society and the reason many scientists who knew you can’t dismiss a lab leak theory didn’t speak up. Wether the lab leak is true (likely) or not , it speaks volumes (or should unless you don’t want to Listen ) to the steps that are effective for a media campaign to frame a issue and shutdown legitimate debate very successfully . It should bother more people . So the corporate media Unfortunately has little integrity and that is a big problem when trying to decipher information for a serious issue , we just saw science and scientists ..the holy grail of truth appear to say in a “unified front “ a lab leak definitely didn’t happen (and ridicule folks who didn’t think like them ) do a 180 and say oh ya ok that seems to make more sense ...and this seems to sit ok with people .
  13. Lumber prices fell 41% from the bubble high now down 120$ last week to about an even 1,000$ . If that plateaus it will trickle down to Home Depot ,etc shortly . Won’t be cheap by any means but back into reality
