  1. I’m certainly down for mid week skiing , thou I got the NH vail pass lol but I’m sure I’ll use those 7 days up quickly (had a nagging knee issue over summer so I wanted to see how that goes but I’m back to full exercise (weights and sprints so hopefully I’m good )
  2. I don’t , we did Mount Washington last weekend and it’s probably just going to be a bunch of chases for me over the winter period . That being said , I was disappointed in the pool at that place (unusable - cold/ no jacuzzi either ) so I’d be booking Stowe for the same money personally, but we shall see . My gf could care less about the outdoor pool / jacuzzi band and loved it there and i do want her to be happy , it certainly wasn’t torture at Mount Washington lol . I do recommend Spruce peak to everyone at the “upscale botiquish” women’s gym I work at bc it’s my favorite and I think it offers something for everyone (I.E couples / families ).
  3. I think many people would be happy to ski mid week if they could , thou in reality I’ll probably just ski somewhere else if my friends I’m skiing with can’t do midweek . I don’t enjoy skiing solo but it’s usually just 2-3 ppl total and honestly I would simply choose the NH resorts bc they are closer for day trips which I do more often, even thou we all know Stowe get dumped on more
  4. Absolutely, and if they don’t .. the bigger the outfit and less “mom and popish” the faster someone in charge will be replaced that can implement that vision I’m content with my vail 7 day pass and found it to be a good deal i sure wouldn’t pay 30$ to park thou fri-sun
  5. Let’s not underestimate corporate greed and the preoccupation with squeezing the most out of a person at the best margin while the marketing works its magic . I would not be lobbying for a ski resort like they were trying to give skiers the best deal , ideally they are rewarded for squeezing the most out of folks but not to the point it bites them . I mean it’s one thing businesses tend to do best ,so there is a give and take and a slow boil approach amongst most competitors raising fees Is probably in their best interests . I mean let’s not pretend resorts are not businesses with the focus of maximizing dollars Coming out of pockets that they can. Otherwise they are not great businesses and could do “more”. I get the business aspect 100% but my point is business best interests and consumers are not aligned. I mean.. as we have seen ..higher end folks have the disposable income to enjoy higher end hobbies and if I ran a business I would do the same thing , so I certainly get it .
  6. Which For me , speaks to how unsatisfactory average snow is lol. This post didn’t cheer me up it reminded me that well nevermind lol A metaphor perhaps , “ Hey now little jimmy , yes folks that live in LES snow belt and NNE elevations may have nice houses and we know you dream of one too, but remember where you come (Coastal plain)from and how much you make , most folks in your situation are living with their parents at 38 , so if you move into a studios APT at age 35 your doing well for you . Chin up sport “
