  1. Can’t wait for the significant increase in accidents from barely awake people on the way to work and school in the dark. How stupid to give into uninformed mob rule yelling at clouds. It gets dark early because you live in the north during the winter solstice
  2. I am impressed with how much better the fall foliage is in Westchester than in eastern Suffolk on this beautiful October day. The drought really did a number on the trees out there
  3. Saw Mill River was a bit high…but nothing close to a flood stage. That sums up inland Westchester
  4. So after all that, September is going to end…just about Normal
  5. Plenty of steady rain in Hastings Got rocked by a few good jolts of thunder…but most of the convection was background noise as it slid south of us. Nice night!
  6. It was 55 here at 6 am. Beautiful fireplace weather
  7. Its weird to leave MSP and have it be significantly cooler here…but tonight it is. Nonetheless, that airmass is quite warm and headed east…
  8. I would like to say it’s alarming but that’s the wrong word. It is acute. Too acute for any normal realm of occurrence
  9. Marine layer starts at whitestone bridge this morning. Queens has a low cloud layer over it. North of that, breaks of sun Cool to see coming over bridge
  10. Its a LHV day so far. Doing decent this way
  11. Thank you for the sanity check! Not even a water restriction for most of us
  12. Drenching rain went thru southern Westchester around 4pm. Sun is out now
  13. Most of them arent dying. They are going into a dormant state much like they do in fall. As for the evergreens, they have some other (pest) issues at the moment. You sadly see it along the LIE at Exit 69 in the Pine Barrens. But no mistake, this drought on the south shore isnt helping things
  14. I mean…that is insane heat for SLC at any time of year. And it has been happening with increasing frequency over last few years
  15. In Wading River this evening. For a cold front passage with a (still) NW wind off water, it is amazingly warm and we just went into the water at sunset without flinching. Pretty unbelievable for late August/early Sept with this setup Edit: now a NE wind after sunset
  16. Radar looking nice for a good shot!
  17. We are burned to a crisp here in the city? If droughts were snowstorms, what we have here is Atlanta with 2 inches of snow. Travel out west a bit.
  18. Driving up the Taconic on this warm humid morning (81F in Yorktown Heights) and I notice the trees are starting to change from the dryness
  19. Dude, please stop quoting me. You harassed me and I want to deal with normal people. Thanks.
  20. If the humidity stays low as it has been, it will feel nicer and cooler than recent Septembers 66F this morning. Another morning with windows open, comfortably sitting outside…without my friends the bugs!
  21. 62F. Glorious But my backyard is dust where the sprinkler doesnt reach :/
  22. Hello Humidity. Missed you for a day :/
