it’s not dumb to be discussing futility in late december when that far below average and with that little on the season/for the month. the least snowiest december was in play all of the way up until the end of the month. and people do obviously care if they are discussing it. for folks around here it was the only thing to discuss at the time. i personally didn’t partake surprisingly though.
Lakeside counties in SE WI will all firmly end up in the 8-13" range based on reports.
Likely will translate southward into NE IL lakeside counties as well.
It's really not going to be all that much lower than expected across this area.
PIA is at 1.42" as of 6AM, and about 0.50" at ORD with a good amount more to go.
Lake enhancement showing up fairly well now across SE WI and NE IL, from about Port Washington down to Waukegan.
It's evident when lighter synoptic returns are in the area, and heavier returns are limited to within a county of the lake.
