  1. Garbage storm not worth wasting time on
  2. Someone I fear is going to choke on dry air and waste precious qpf. Tomorrow is the day we hopefully get some improvements and clarity.
  3. at least last weekend's storm had 50's the day before and 30's and 40's the days after. below normal temps right before and after for this one. cool
  4. Warm air advection crisis storm is easy to attain
  5. I told myself - don't get invested in models and kuch maps until wed and the noise wx of mon through wed were behind us. I'm melting
  6. drip drip drips of melting snow drifts off the roof this AM. Just need the sun to make an appearance now and maybe we can pop in to the 40's
  7. I do like that Ricky's back to his ways of trying to find some optimism and holes in the portrayed playing out of this event.
  8. I said I'd be thrilled with 4" and a share the wealth event with the others struggling for snow this winter. This is not encouraging. Ricky, Alek, and Stebo caution flags freaked me the F out early. Of course now the SE trend will be MIA.
  9. Far SE, MI. is the king of DAB++ events. Without those pennies in the pot and the streamers off Lake MI. 150+ miles away they would resemble the winter wonderland winter climo of Omaha Nebraska.
  10. Ricky put the caution tape up early for us. That had me side eying the possible snowier outcomes shown even up here. Still time to correct things like we've witnessed models trend back south for what seems like a decade now. What could possibly go wrong with winds out of the S/SE - Garbage
  11. MSP will manage somehow to end the week with 4"
  12. We thirst for more snow because we live in a very volatile winter climate thats highly conducive to winter suckage back of pina colada's on Christmas eve's and children hoping Santa brings them snow making gun kits.
  13. They probably have close to a 30" snow pack in parts of the snow belt in, WI. Hardly any of it has come from LES.
  14. Not many truer words spoken. And ultimately why I remain in MKE. I wonder every winter why I'm still down in the cities - and what you said above is what my non-weenie brain resonates with. This winter I have a cousin that moved east on HWY 2 by roughy 7 miles only and the struggle to keep up with a 7 mile move to Saxon, Wi. has been so surreal to follow through him. The brutally long winter struggles are real up there.
  15. Right on, Beavis. I getcha and happy to hear your plans are still on to move north and find what you crave. Funny - just before you replied I let the dogs out and smiled big watching them run off in to the 2" (lol) snowpack and do their thing. Grabbed my afternoon coffee and admired the bird feeders flocked with birds and the white landscape. Snow is definitely my best therapy and this small dose was much needed ATM. I REALLY hope the late week event works out white for as many in this sub-forum as possible. Sometimes bigger isn't always better. The landscape left behind by even 2" felt like sleeping with a big one.
  16. Having said that.. as much as I adore a true winter weenie's dream climate there is not too many folks I know that went to the extremes as him and moved to the LES Belt outside of Bo, and Will from this forum. Huge props and respect to them. I say I could move up there and live that dream, and I could have and still could easily. I remain in MKE. Hope I don't regret that later.
  17. John Dee knows your pain, Beavis. As an Ultimate snow weenie he worked his tail off down here and then hightailed it out of our shitty winter climate decades ago. I feel your passion my man.
  18. I know I'm just appreciative there is something to track. Living in our climo locations it's never easy on models and even the pro mets and great hobbyist we have here really have their homework cut out for them each time. East coast mets get to see what transpires out here in flyover country and have more data to work with I think especially in the 3-5 day range where we are now.
  19. More hrs of snowfall today than the last 1.5 months combined. Grass is covered - Shrugs.
  20. Its been pixie here here up until a few mins ago when a few dendi's started mixing in. round 2 should start up in a hr or so if reading the euro right and start to tail off between 9-10pm.
  21. Going on almost a 24 hr wind event to rile up the lake. Not good for the south shore for sure. Winds have slacked off here. Prob experienced the worst of the wind here in round 1 and intermission.
