  1. Woke up to some thunder. BOX radar is down but the light show here in Braintree is nice. Haven't seen any hail yet. ...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of eastern Norfolk, south central Suffolk, northwestern Plymouth and north central Bristol Counties through 445 AM EDT... At 403 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Sharon, or near Norwood, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Strong winds could cause minor damage such as downed branches. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

  3. Hello neighbor! My house faces the north and I don't have to clean much off my car or walk way, yet. It's all getting blown away.
  4. At 6 am this morning the Shaws in Braintree had a line waiting to go in, when I left the store there was a news crew in the parking lot setting up.
  5. Yeah I grew up in Georgia. Not used to many of these storms. It really makes me feel like a kid again.

  11. After further questioning myself. Why do they form their own bands instead of being a giant shield like a rain storm.

  15. Good morning all. New to this subforum. I moved to Boston in May from Georgia and live in the Cambridge area. I've only experienced a few storms over 4" in my life. Does the ocean temperatures effect every storm like this? Or is it only early in the season when the water is relatively warm?
