Going to have to watch any warm ups and rain for flood issues. Creeks are bricks of ice with a ton of liquid in the headwaters.

Hopefully they salt the roads overnight. Getting slick outside as the temp is dropping. Throw some fresh fluff on that for the morning commute, going to be messy.

That’s no where near 86% ice. Eastern 1/3 of the lake is a huge open pool. Explains why yesterday’s event over performed by so much. The GLERL map is always a bit over done on the ice cover but that’s over done by a lot!

Good stuff! Was surprised a bit to see a single super intense band over Southern Erie last night. Thought it would have been a more moderate fanned out snow band impacting a wider area. Interested to see what happens when that band off Ontario drops down and interacts with the flow off Erie. Should be an interesting battle.

Like KBUF map. Should setup back over you BW next hour or two and just camp out there from 20A down to Springville through tomorrow. Easy foot totals. Should get a few inches of scraps up here. Just enjoying the constant on off snow we’ve been having past few days. Got the winter feel!

Looks like another lake effect band possible for the western shores of Lake Ontario again.

What a sht show at the market today. These freaking people panic buying for a foot of snow falling overnight. That’s the only thing I hate about winter weather warnings... Wow... got a few pages of reading to catch up on!

Mike Seidel covered that storm from Buffalo. Did a live shot standing out on a frozen Lake Erie (I think maybe Hamburg Beach?)

When your not use to forecasting snow...

Was awesome this morning. Bright sun beaming through on the flurries. Been clear blue skys and sun past few hours. Just got done scrapping the driveway and sidewalk down. Ready to go now!

Just jinxed the poor guy posting that. lol

Pure Fluff!

Just hanging out... doesn’t seem to want to push onshore...

Saw the 7.8” in South Buffalo (just from the lake event) and I really gotta wonder where that spotter is located. We got transitioned bad here with this storm. Picked up an inch Friday night but I was struggling to hit 3” of new snow on Saturday. Band flew over me when it slid north. Really think if the winds weren’t so strong that band wouldn’t have camped out so far south overnight and would have been up in my neck of the woods like the NWS was forecasting. Glad the boys up north got some action. Nice it’s finally wintery like outside. Cold, nice coating of snow, getting a fresh coating every 1-2 days. A good old fashion winter!

Just about to get back into this band shortly. If it holds like this and stalls for the first half of the day maybe we can salvage the event.
