    FWIW… HRRR has another area of storms firing up overnight and hanging over WNY from 2am-6am -ish… IWRC also has Lake Erie highlighted for an elevated waterspout risk early tomorrow… NWS doesn’t really seem interested…

    Timing pushed back a bit? Was looking like a midday to afternoon event for WNY now more like an evening timeframe? Might tend to better chance for some severe storms vs just the heavy downpours…

    Just what happens when the lake breeze boundaries collide this time of year. A bit unusual with the trajectory, usually see a more west to east line from NF / Lewiston area out through Lockport.

    Interesting firing line for that clusters of storms. Flash Flood warning for Grand Island. Already 2-3” of rainfall.

    Happy 4th indeed. Today was what I call the perfect summer day in my book. Mostly sunny, temps in the low 80s, no winds and dews under 60. Great afternoon swimming, vegging out on the patio, and lighting some fire works.

    Strange setup for sure… still only a few sprinkles here today… This morning really bugged me. Cells were rolling SW to NE stopped and flipped direction like a brick wall.

    Check out the radar loop. That area over Niagara County how it drops in NW to SE then hits a wall on the escarpment and pulls back heading NE. New boundary line fired up north to south along eastern Erie county boarder and is picking up some intensity heading into the finger lakes. Had the single back building cells popping ahead of that line triggering the flash food warning. And then there’s my Lake Erie monster again. I gotta figure out what that blob is every night between 9-11.

    Another day of busted storms. Not a drop here. Both batches of rain just disappeared upon arrival…. The dry zone is very well defined over the past few days.

    Yup… northern part is tearing up but that cell over the lake is building, Dunkirk to Silver Creek could be a good storm. Wouldn’t make it in time but would be a good shoreline intercept on that one. Expect to see some nice shelf pics as that rolls in.

    Will it break through? First line got shredded on arrival let’s see what that second line can do. That’s a favorable path for severe storms here when they have are drifting in from the WNW…

    Hope we get some rain here today, lake shadow from BUF to ROC has been tough to break through past few days. Lawn is starting to brown out.

    Was on pace to set the record for the warmest minimum temp for the entire month of June, but we’re dropping off to quick this evening. Already down to 79 at 8pm. Didn’t drop below 80 until after midnight last night.
