I can’t upload the CC loop, but There’s debris falling out of the sky well out of ahead of the super cell. There’s a very high likelihood this was an EF-4 or EF-5 that just tracked through Jefferson City.

I wouldn’t say high likely hood, but man, it doesn’t sound good.

Starting to notice a majority of the storms, IL all the way to OK of gusting out becoming the dominant appearance, the lone exception in SW MO. I'm not dismissing the threats, but it seems like we've peaked and on the downtrend overall.

Even in sw mo, they aren’t nearly as impressive as they were. I would watch the one in extreme swmo, but over all, the tornado threat seems to be coming down pretty substantially

Tell that to the family of the person who has died from this outbreak.

Oh good lord. Not trying to derail the thread. It’s a significant, potentially deadly tornado. Just like basically every other tornado. That does not make it comparable to one of the all time tornadoes.

So far it doesnt appear that the storm was doing major damage as it passed north of joplin. Havent heard any reports other than around golden city. Hopefully a major bullet was dodged around joplin tonight

I’ve heard of damage in the Carl junction area and points north east but nothing major as of yet.

Storm off to the North of Golden City has lost a bit of its organization. It could still cycle at any time, but it’s been taking a bit of a breather after putting down at least 2 long track and potentially violent tornadoes.

Haven’t seen any reports that would indicate violent tornadoes yet. Very early obviously.
