Yep the run ahead outflow killed us.

There is one pop up storm near Durham just west of Falls Lake but yeah it would be nice to get something. Could be some pulse severe with DCAPE values being quite high and no shear.

Last night in Raleigh (as close as I could fly without violating a TFR).

It is basically falling at its steepest rate since the real drop began. Showers over the next few days should slow or stop the bleeding for a short time.

102F was the high at RDU.

RDU has hit 100F and it is likely that here now as clouds have cleared.

I noticed the bump up as well this morning. I am a bit surprised by that. Also Falls Lake as expected is in free fall again. It has about 3 feet to drop before reaching the all time record low level.
