I was checking in to see some snow photos. I am definitely paying for my complaining today. We are going to be in the 80's and have had zero snow all year (which is even rare for this part of NC). Life circumstances took me back here or else I would still be in a snow climate for sure.

Might be the first snowless (measurable) winter of my life
Same here and even worse is I can't stand the summers here but because of life circumstances I can't go elsewhere for the time being.

Well...if we don't officially reach 80, there's still a statistical chance for snow this year.
We hit 80F today

GFS gets us out to March 10 and it never gets to freezing in the Carolina’s. Might be hard pressed to get a frost, much less a snow
Time to look ahead to December 2023.

As we begin leaf out 5 weeks early down here and already high pollen counts, I will be living vicariously through you all. Interesting to see the ice coming up for BTV.

We already have some pollen and leaf out on some trees. Absolutely insane. I have never seen this before so early.

That would be a front ender if it verified (which it won't). It would be a snow to rain scenario depending on how long the CAD can hold.

Long range looks warm to me and I welcome it. I would say the odds of a snowless winter are above 75% for all piedmont areas
At least 75%. I am 46 and this is the worst winter of my life to date.

You know whats crazy is Asheville is in the Winter Weather Advisory and also the Winter Storm Warning and you go look at the hourly its all rain. I'm confused on all this. Guess they're not really sure what it's going to do
The issuances are really for 3500ft and up.

I really wish I could get up to beech for tomorrow.

Time to look ahead to next year. It is a long wait but it couldn't go any worse than this year.

It is a long wait through relentless heat until next winter. I wish I could move back to New England.

I think we (triangle) can throw in the towel. Probably could’ve yesterday but I was hanging onto hope. Really pulling for upstate and Georgia folks. Plenty of non-mountain areas still in play for a good storm!
Time to lock the thread. This just sucks and there is no other way to say it. Our last hope vaporized almost immediately after this thread was created.

This whole setup is going to be extremely rate dependent. I highly doubt anyone outside of the mountains will experience a lot of light snow. It’ll either be snowing cats and dogs or you’ll be getting drizzle and light rain. The joys of an ULL right? Someone under a death band and someone else getting rain a few miles away.
Yep "snow islands"

That is just a disaster for sure. Hurry and reserve a spot in the sanitarium now.

Raleigh is not going to see any accumulation from this. It will be I-77 and the western Triad.

This is looking more like an I-77 special right now and a heartbreaker for RDU.
