  1. I ended up with about an inch from the system yesterday. We've had lake flurries off and on today. Looks like we could squeeze out another in or two locally tonight.
  2. Up to a DAB here. Temp at 33 and it’s been struggling to stick all day.
  3. Globals picking up on a dusting to an inch moving through the area Sunday. Lake effect possible in the usual belts next week.
  4. The tree right outside my apartment still has tons of leaves on it. The strong north winds started to finally knock a lot off this morning. Looked like it was pouring leaves.
  5. Some real lake-effect potential behind the system next week.
  6. Quality thunderboomers. A nice surprise.
  7. So close to 70’s tomorrow…yet so far.
  8. Good first snow. Eyeball about an inch at work in Mishawaka. Edit: My snow eyeballs are a bit off. Up to 1.7".
  9. Nothing on the ground in Mishawaka. Caller in Eau Claire, MI reports 3" on the ground so far. He's annoyed because we only called for an inch. Tough crowd.
  10. 2 to 4 in The Region. HRRR hinting at similar totals in my neck of the woods, too. INZ001-002-010345- /O.NEW.KLOT.WW.Y.0009.231101T0100Z-231101T1000Z/ Lake IN-Porter- Including the cities of Gary, Hammond, Merrillville, Portage, Valparaiso, and Chesterton 245 PM CDT Tue Oct 31 2023 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM THIS EVENING TO 5 AM CDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Lake effect snow showers expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches, with locally higher amounts possible. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. * WHERE...Lake IN and Porter Counties.
  11. Radar looks very impressive from Muskegon to Holland. That area now has a WWA for up to 5 more inches of snow. I drove through a pretty good squall between Elkhart and South Bend earlier today. Otherwise, there's been peaks of sun between the snow bursts. No accumulation.
  12. GFS has dew points in the 30’s and 40’s over the holiday weekend which allows temps to warm to triple digits.
  13. Overcast skies this morning from the convection to the east. Almost certainly will have an impact on how hot we get today.
  14. I was inside all day for work so this is the first time feeling the high dew points all day. 86/79/100 at 10:00 is icky.
  15. The Niles, MI dew point is suspect... but neat to see an 86 on our map.
  16. I usually save this for winter but it's never too early to break it out.
  17. Under a SVR Warning for 70 mph winds now. It’s been storming more than an hour. Nothing severe but constant lightning and thunder. Also have a Flash Flood Warning. Pretty good night.
  18. Hatched wind area on the latest outlook. Not sure if it was there before.
  19. Immediate threat is to my south…still hopeful for the MCS to swing through later.
  20. Interesting set up out here. Remnants from the early convention never totally cleared out. It got up to 90 but the at-home thermometer is down to 84. Overcast and a clam wind. Storms trying to fire along and south of US 30 in Indiana.
